not to be a nerd, but a professor citing my work is genuinely the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me:’)

i don’t know whether this feeling is fleeting or something deeper, but i miss having a crush. i miss that quiet electricity, the anticipation of a message, the warmth of feeling drawn toward someone. being without that for so long has brought me an unexpected kind of peace, a calm detachment i didn’t know i needed. and yet, lately, i find myself missing the spark that once made connection feel alive. i love my solitude and the quiet that comes with not talking to anyone, yet i still find myself missing having someone to talk to. does this even make sense?? lol

#i haven’t been on tumblr in forever but i needed to get this out but i’m too enbarrassed to talk to anyone about this and tumblr has #always been a diary for me so i guess i’ll post this here #also i think i’m gonna start using this again
