breaking-the-boundariesâ:
It seems they were going to head to her place. It was a good idea considering the Inklingâs wealth and how well equipped she was for a party. Thereâd be plenty to do and eat, not to mention Pearl could just buy anything that was missing. It was practically the perfect plan, the only thing theyâd have to worry about is if Marina came during the party and even then she wouldnât mind. Pearl knew Marina was fully supportive of her.
The corners of her eyes catch the otherâs hand extending, but eyebrow raised as they seemed to pull away. That was weird. She was about to ask when the other started speaking again, letting that thought be discarded for the moment.
âYou carry them around too huh? Iâm totally the same! When I ainât got nothing to do, Iâll pull out some games and game hard until I got something else to do! It definitely makes the time pass and keeps me from getting too cozy. They say if you start relaxing, itâs hard to get back to work when youâre needed!â
She speaks from experience. Sheâs tried to take a snooze or two in her early days as an idol, and it was a pain to get to work after getting so relaxed. It was such a pain and she wouldnât doubt if she hadnât performed as well because of it. She learned valuable lessons from those experiences in all honesty.
âOh shoot! Yeah blanket forts are the best! Letâs do it! I got plenty of blankets and I could always buy more!â
Weasel mentally cursed themselves for not going ahead on holding Pearlâs hand. There was always a voice in the back of their head though stopping them from doing things like that--saying they would be rejected. Even if that wasnât necessarily true. The inkling found it difficult to ignore that voice though, they had a pretty weak will at times. Especially when it came to their own mental health.
Blue eyes flitted from the ground they were focused on back to the smaller inkling as their brows raised in interest. Pearl liked video games like they did? That was so awesome!! There wasnât a whole lot that the purple inkling enjoyed more than sitting down and playing their games for hours on end. Even if they werenât necessarily good at finishing them.
â Games are so super fun. I do play them lots. Maybe not too many games but what i do have.â They surely didnât have as many as Pearl.
Outside of that addition, the taller inkling fell silent for the rest of their trip. They didnât actually say much of anything, outside of the occasional nod or smile until the two of them had started working on the pillow fort. That was when theyâd found themselves staring at the smaller inkling and flushing. They had more or less gotten sucked into their own thoughts. So much so that they didnât notice themselves think aloud.
                â So pretty.â
