This kind of stuff, the emotional stuff? It’s not your thing.
Apparently there's going to be a spinoff of HIMYM called How I Met Your Father, and the only thing I can say is: don't fuck up the finale
I mean fix graffiti on 96th and amsterdam? I hate looking at it!

You make me happy. You make me happy all the time.
“Can you imagine us married?”
Robin loves Barney!
I’ve been wanting to post this since last week but didn’t get to so I just wanted to say that I used to find this scene really fun and lighthearted but what I came to realize is that it’s not at all fun or lighthearted. The episode in all is quite dramatic and some other moments were over the top but because I really loved this episode I wanted to talk about how much this scene is very important to the B/R relationship.
So, I used to watch this episode and enjoy it but now when I think of this episode I think of it as quite sad. This scene is supposed to be fun, at first. But, then it gets real, very real during the dance and when it ends. But, the scene is much more than what it seems to be and here’s why.
I used to think that this dance was a metaphor for Barney & Robin’s relationship but what it really is, is the fact that these two at this point in the show are in love. This scene isn’t just a metaphor for their relationship it’s actually real and romantic. Barney & Robin are in love and through this dance you can see that it’s not at all fun and lighthearted it’s real, dramatic, serious, sad, pining kind of scene. At this very moment at the end of the dance they are staring at each other and I feel whenever I watch this scene and or see a gif or pic of this scene I feel a little sad by it because it’s the most real they ever were when they were having scenes together.
I truly believe that from this point on there really was nobody else they wanted to be with and they both felt that during and after they danced together. They are in love and want to be together but are scared of the other one turning the other down which would be heartbreakingly devastating just like this scene is. It’s a sad, heartbreaking, devastating time in this relationship and you can see the pain in both of their eyes at the end of the dance. These two are hopelessly in love and don’t know how to handle it so they run from it especially Robin.
There’s no way that Robin will ever love anyone but Barney, he is her forever love. He is her soulmate, her destiny, her partner, her heart, he is everything to her and he means the world to her. There is no way that she would ever consider giving up on this relationship again because from this point on, all the struggles they had together, all the things they went through before and after this dance and everything they have would keep them together because Robin doesn’t want to lose him because as I mentioned already when they broke up she was devastated by the breakup that she never really truly moved on from that.
Barney is the most important person in her life and the only man she ever thought about having a life with she even pictured it more than once. Losing him in anyway isn’t an option for her she would simply never recover from that lose. Remember, after they broke up she mourned over the breakup so it’s likely that if they were to divorce no matter when it was, she would never get over that and would ultimately end up having nothing to live for anymore which is even more devastating, as you can see in that terrible finale she was definitely not over that loss, losing Barney is like losing a piece of her heart and herself the longer they’re apart the longer it is for her to truly be happy and that’s the most heartbreaking thing ever.
I care so much about these two’s lives and their happiness and neither one of them are happy without each other because as I said above they are each other’s anchors, they are partners through and through who need each other in ways nobody but them really understand. Barney and Robin are in love and will be for the rest of their lives and would never BE over each other or move on or love anyone else because their hearts are only with each other.
Me vs. HIMYM Finale
Me: So! My favorite otp, Robin and Barney are finally married!
HIMYM Finale: Nope, they get divorced three years later.
Me: But, but...they love each other so much, they're perfect together. They will make up, right? Cause they learned to communicate with each other.
HIMYM Finale: Nope. Not gonna happen.
HIMYM Finale: And Barney's gonna return to his womanizing ways.
Me: But what about his character development over several past seasons? What about his realization that one night stands don't satisfy him anymore?
HIMYM Finale: No, forget about that.
HIMYM Finale: But hey! Eventually he's gonna change his ways!
Me: When he gets together with Robin again?
HIMYM Finale: No, dummy! When his one night stand gives birth to his daughter! Robin couldn't have kids anyway, you know.
Me: But he didn't mind not having kids? And why is a mother of his child nameless? That's pretty sexist of you.
HIMYM Finale:...
HIMYM Finale: ...
HIMYM Finale: Really? I guess I shouldn't tell you then that the Mother (Tracy) dies?
Me: WTF?!
HIMYM Finale: Yeah, she was just a plot device that (unlike Robin) could give Ted kids he wanted so much.
HIMYM Finale: You won't see her much in the last episode anyway, so don't worry.
HIMYM Finale: And did I mention that Robin and Ted are the endgame?
HIMYM Finale: It doesn't matter that she didn't love him as much as he loved her, it doesn't matter she was more herself when she was with Barney, suddenly she's in love with Ted again! Hurray!
HIMYM Finale: Oh! You thought that we meant it when he finally let go off Robin in the last season and she reaffirmed her love for Barney? Poor you! We were just messing with you, pal!
Me:...
Me:...
Me:...
Me: I hate you and I wish you never existed.
Your teeth look fantastic.
Through Robin’s eyes! “We belong together.”
She believes Barney’s her soulmate she chose to be with him and she chose him as her soulmate, her true love. She believed because of Barney, her love for him is very powerful in her eyes and heart.
As long as I have Neil & Cobie!
I have Barney & Robin sailing away together as the ship that never ends or dies or sinks.
