And now, it’s time for the Astonishing Adventures of Racheal and the Mascot 3000!
It’s such a shame the New Albion musicals aren’t more well-known. Mainstream pop culture is missing out on some serious bops. Some absolute genius moments include:
Those hypnotic first 7 notes of New Albion 1.
That moment in Atompunk Overture where Mascot speaks “Era: Atompunk”, and the beat just fucking drops.
Rachael’s depressing asylum song, where the writer somehow portrays, using music alone, the feeling of being electrocuted.
The entirety of The Soiree, specifically the musical build-up to the moment where Constance displays her amazing vocal range and yells “When you stand where the cards FAAAALLLLLL!” and the beat just fucking drops.
BLOOD. RED. DOGS. All of it. Specifically the beautiful execution of the mass-possession scene when it starts with all the soldiers singing the Blood Red Dogs leitmotif until each soldier falls out of the chorus one by one to start singing the possession leitmotif until none are left standing to sing their original song. THAT is some good shit.
And that’s all just from the first trilogy my friends!
adrian except everytime i draw him i change his design a little bit.
just drew some new albion server shenanigans
Mascot 3000: Would you like to initiate consciousness?
Me:
Adrian, on his way to go harass his boyfriend’s dad.
“In the movement, come and dance through the night.”
Still sad about what happened to Xander Cale.
And the original trilogy is done! Yay! This has been so much fun, so I’ll probably do Lost Hallow and such too.
Please follow this person their art is lovely
Rachael and a creature.
Did the dragon lady make you cry today?
Priscilla, from The Dolls of New Albion!!
The Voodoopunks’ arrival in Elysium + excerpts from Lovecraft’s “Dagon”.
