"Princess Zelda," you say? Never heard of her! My jacket is 100% finished!! Next update should be a progress collage of the pants, or a walkthrough of a super cool way to do decorative shank buttons. Pardon my no-makeup face -- I don't have time to Get Cute when there's sewing to be done!! -Lyn
Progress on Steampunk Sheik!! Still gotta add trim to the shoulders, close up the collar lining, and add 32 buttons! Also gotta like, make everything else, but that's tomorrow's problem. :B -Lyn
Costume tip: weathering edges! If youāre going for a realistic and/or heavily weathered look, donāt just go to town with scissors (1-3). Use sandpaper (4-5) on your fabric to rough up the edges and āwearā holes in the material, instead of just slicing them in!
Also, save the paint and other grime until after youāve made your holes. Your scissors and sandpaper will thank you!

I still donāt have my tablet set up, but Iāve been REALLY ITCHING to draw out a design for part of a steampunk Zelda group my friends are starting to work on, so I cranked this out with a cheap pen, printer paper, and Too Much Time with the magic wand + bucket tools in Photoshop.
Hopefully Iāll get my tablet moved in soon and then real art can resume!!
If anybodyās been wondering what is in our queue, hereās a sneak peek of one of Lynās future costumes!
Checking out some swatches for Mia! Honestly I prefer blue over white sooo much for her, but I also really want to use a variety of fabrics in her costume instead of just being a wall of blue cotton, so I'm really torn right now. -Lyn
Time to start on the next costume! No idea if weāll keep up with posting progress to Tumblr, but fingers crossed!
For Fanime, Iām gonna be revisiting an old favorite: Mia from Golden Sun! So far, all Iāve done is add wefts to get the long tendrils in front. Next steps are the bangs and fluffing up the ponytail! -Lyn
OMG MIA I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING IT <3
AHHH THANKS I LOOK FORWARD TO MAKING IT
Hereās hoping everything goes according to plan 8);;

Whoops, we havenāt been active on Tumblr in a while! Weāve still been making costumes, though, so check out our Facebook for the most up-to-date stuff.
Sadly, Lynās been the most productive, and sheās also one of the worst at scheduling photoshoots! Hereās an old hall shot from Fanime this year of Lyn as Cherche, along with her friends J as Chrom and @cobalt-save as Sumia.

Long post, but hopefully you guys find this helpful! Iām making a sailor fuku and thought Iād post a tutorial on how I did the skirt, since a few friends asked about it.

Huge thank-you to @dangerous-ladies for posting such detailed walkthroughs of their costumes!! This is very largely based on their work and their super clever way of doing the pleats with the V front.
You know whatās amazing? You actually nailed it so hard that I looked at the very first image and went, āHey, thatās the first scout Iāve seen to do skirts like ours, I wonder if they saw ours.ā And then I finished reading and had a little āhooooly shit!ā when I saw our name!
You did an incredible job on this tutorial; excellent work :) We will definitely be linking to it in the future.
- Jenn
Haha, thatās awesome! Iām glad to hear you like the tutorial, and thank you again for all the progress and explanations you post! Iāve learned a lot of cool and helpful things from following your posts, and your costumes are always stunning <3 -Lyn
