It's kinda interesting to see that, while Kanon told Saga to kill the Pope and Athena and that he said that he was going to kill Athena…. ….the moment where Ker give him the possibility of doing it in exchange of freedom… …He refuses.

Or, like Ker said, he CAN'T do it. Even if he doesn't refuse clearly.

So it means that Kanon wasn't serious when he said what he said to Saga?

But Saga has freak out because he thought Kanon was serious?

The biggest proof is probably that Athena already saved him, even while being a baby. Athena KNOWS there are good in his heart.
