âProbably. Not as if I ever say anything important, right?â
âI have no idea if anything you say is important. All I know is I get a lot of stupid comments from people in both my lines of work, so Iâm just waiting for it to come.â
âSounds like you have a way with the old guys.â She teased.
âWhat can I say? Must just come naturally to me. I mean I do have the exotic dancer advantage there.âÂ
Leo bit back a sigh, shaking his head, âFor fucks sake, Lindsey, just take it.â He rolled his eyes, holding the money out towards her. âKeep last shipments money, and take this too. Iâm not throwing it at you, itâs fucking yours.â He added, sighing. âI never said I thought that. And I donât, I just wish youâd stop using our product, but thatâs your choice.â
âWhy are you just giving me money for work I havenât done?â she asked, thinking it was weird even for Leo. And part of her was scared that if Tony found out sheâd end up in shit for it. âWell maybe you donât, but Iâm pretty sure your brother does. Iâm sure most people do. Fine, I wonât use your product,â she sighed. âNot that I could as it stands.âÂ
Leo rolled his eyes, fighting back a sigh. âThe shipment is the last fucking thing on my mind right now, okay? Iâm sorry if thatâs fucking up your opinion of me.â He shook his head, tugging his wallet out of his back pocket, âIf itâs that important, Iâll give you your cut. Like you said, Iâm not gonna miss it.â He shrugged lightly, âI donât give a damn about the shipment. Talk to Tony.â
âForget it, keep your damn money. Iâm not taking it without doing the work, not with what you think of me already. Hell I came to give you the money from the last damn shipment, not to have you throw more at me.â She rolled her eyes. âIf heâs in a good a mood as you I think Iâll pass. Itâs not like Iâd get anywhere with him. He thinkâs Iâm scum too, donât think I donât know thatâs what you think of me.âÂ
Daisy cracked a smile. âWell I hope so,â She then finished up wrapping her arm. âWhere you able to get that guy back on your side?â
âIâm not even going to ask what happened. I donât want to know.â She tucked some hair behind her ear. âYeah, people alway come back for the good stuff. Throw in a freebie as an apology and heâs back in the palm of my hand.âÂ
âWell done to you. You know what? At this point in time I couldnât give less of a fuck about the money and the shipment. I dunno how Tonyâs feeling, Iâd tread carefully though, his girlfriend almost got killed, he might be looking for blood. Still, if youâd rather deal with him, be my guest.â
âThe money and shipment may not matter to you, but youâre not going to notice if that money goes from your life. I canât afford to live without my cut from the shipments. I honestly thought you were the better of my bosses, the nice one, and right now I think Alecâs got you beat. Actually Iâd rather deal with Sonny, Im pretty sure heâs the only one of you that isnât pissed off at me. But it seems your my best option right now. Please just tell me when the next shipment is.â
âWell, my apologies that your drug dealing boss isnât up to standards. You wanna file a complaint while weâre here? At the risk of sounding like a complete asshole, I really donât care. We all know you have a pick me up before you hit your other job anyway, itâs not like you can keep your hands off the fucking stuff.â
âOh fuck off. I havenât touched any of the latest shipment, and I canât, because Iâm fucking good at my job and sold out. Thatâs why I wanted to talk to you, to fucking double check when the next shipment comes in and to hand over your damn money. But if youâre in such a fucking bad mood Iâll just turn around and leave. Maybe your big brother will be in a better mood.â
âBlood moneyâŚ? Oh, Itâs you.â she said with a slight smirk. âHowâs life?â
âYeah, Â itâs me. Itâs going a lot better than yours by the looks of your arm.â
âNot that I really care, but how does it put a downer on business?â
âWell, you see, I come to you to talk about business, you being all pissy and gloomy really does put a downer on things. Which sucks because this is the job I actually like. And when I then have to go to the other one I need a little pick-me-up before I can even think about going on stage in front of those pervs.â
âYes, I know how this looks and staring at my fucked up arm isnât fucking helping.â
"Cool it, blood money, I wasnât staring.â
âNotice all you want, youâre just not supposed to point it out. Besides, it doesnât matter.â
âIt really puts a downer on business, that makes it matter to me.â
âYeah, but you ainât my boss. I can choose who I will and will not serve a drink to.â He scowls at her. âBut since youâre making such a fuss about it, here.â He quickly makes a vodka coke and violently shoves it over to her.
Lindsey smiled and took a sip before handing ver some money. âThank you, saved me climbing ver and vgetting it myslef. Thatâs dangerous in heels, ya know.âÂ
âIs it any of your business?â
âWhat? Iâm not allowed to notice my boss is pissy most of the time? It really brings a downer on business, you know?â
He shot her a fierce glare. âI guarantee you, I can hold my own in a fight.â
âWhat even gives you the right to tell me what I can and cannot do on my shift? You do not own this place, you are a bar monkey, and Alec has no problem with us drinking. You know our boss. He fucking out ranks you.â
âAsk someone else, Iâm not making you a drink.â
âYou are aware Alec doesnât give a shit what we do as long was weâre earning him money, right? So I suggest you get me a vodka coke, or weâre going to have problems.â
