Question of the clothing variety:

One of my favorite blues leads to dance with ever in my scene leads in such a way that whenever I wear a dress, it slowly gets hiked up over the course of the dance. Inevitably, I start to panic over how much of my butt/underwear is about to start showing and trying to figure out how to surreptitiously pull down my skirt while we are dancing. Blues is supposed to be sexy, but my dress hiked up to my waist is definitively not sexy.

What are my options besides leggings to wear under my dress? I feel like long leggings make an outfit more casual, and if I'm all dressed up I don't want to be wearing them. Are there short leggings that might fit under a knee length skirt? Other ideas?

Fellow blues dancers! What’s your favorite thing to wear on your feet when you dance? My dance shoes are beginning to wear out and I would get a new pair, but the place I bought them from went out of business. So do you like heels or flats or converse or foot undies...

I wear keds that I've had re-soled with hard leather. Super comfy, and because I used hard leather and not suede, I can wear them outside (as long as it's not raining).
