Lineshare Friday's
What is this?
Lineshare Fridays is a regularly run event. Every Friday a theme will be posted and you can share an excerpt of your work that fits the theme to show us what you've been working on!
The theme is entirely open to your interpetation. If the theme is grief, and your characters are laughing at a funeral, for example, that's still perfectly fine.
Original fiction, Fanfiction, and Art or Comics are all welcome. If you have something that fits the theme, feel free to join in.
Occasionally, there'll be a "Favourite Lines Friday" where you can show your favourite recent lines, no theme-matching required.
How do I take part?
Every Friday this blog will post a theme. It might be a word, and emotion, or a writing style element. Once you know what the theme is, have a search through your recent projects, and see if you have a piece of work that fits the theme.
You can either reblog the Theme post from here, or make your own post. Feel free to copy and use the Theme's header if you want too. Share your snippet, and don't forget to either @ the blog, @lineshare-friday or tag your post with #Lineshare Friday.
Check the notes, or reblogs, to read other creator's shared pieces and, optionally, reblog, comment, give feedback and/or squeal excitedly over other people's excerpts.
Most importantly; Have fun!
Do You Accept Theme Sugggestions?
Yes!
Please feel free to drop me an ask with any theme suggestions, but keep in mind that I have about 18months worth of themes pre-scheduled, so it might be some time before you see yours included.
I also reserve the right to not use suggestions sent in to me. Especially if they don't feel flexible enough for various genre's to share for. Dragons, for example, is very limiting for genres such as contemporary or horror.
