hiatus!

Hi everyone! After thinking about it for some time I’ve decided to take a break from posting art on tumblr. Updating this blog has become kind of a mental burden on me lately and I need to take a break and/or move on.

You may have noticed that I’ve already gotten a lot less active, but I felt that it was only fair to make an official announcement. I don’t know how long I’ll be gone for--a few weeks or months, indefinitely?? 

I am active on Twitter and Instagram, so if you still want to keep up with me please follow me there instead. If you want to contact me feel free to email or tweet me.

It’s almost October!

My school’s Halloween party theme this year is Tim Burton. My illustration assignment was to design a poster for the party. It is mostly real paper cuts, with digital lettering and pattern overlays.

I like your recent art pieces on twitter, you are very talented. I like the detail you did on your model drawings. Great use of light and dark contrast. Do you think we will see more model drawings in the future?

Thank you so much!! I’ve been holding off on posting those here because I’d rather post them in groups, though I may post a batch soon :) 

I am taking (and really enjoying) a life drawing class this semester so I will be doing several model drawings each week for the next few months!

Sketchbook commissions have reopened!

Prices start at $24 + shipping ($6 within US) and will vary depending on the cover and paper. Books are 5.5"x8.5" and start with 100 back-to-back pages (page count is negotiable) of white bristol vellum cardstock, which is good for all dry media including ink and marker. They are hand-bound using coptic stitch which allows pages to lie completely flat!
