Okay so the actual romance in Nosatsu Junkie is kind of uh….??? I mean it’s problematic but it’s manga and it’s cute so I don’t really care but you know what is great? One of the main characters is a boy who cross-dresses and models as a woman. When he’s eventually exposed he starts modeling as a male model, and when some kids in his school figure out that their student body president used to be “Umi-chan” and try to make fun of him for being a cross-dresser, he just stands up and says, essentially, “No, I’m not embarrassed that  I used to dress and model as a woman, I was proud of my work.” Which I think is great
