I don’t want to forget everything, lose everything.
My chest hurts.
I’m a little sad sarazanmai didn’t have one of Ikuhara’s beautifully animated fairytales. I was really looking forward to it and it didn’t help that they referenced The Little Prince twice.
I Want to Connect, but We’ll Never Meet Again
Both Haruka and Tooi caused terrible accidents because they were afraid their big brothers would abandon them.
I wonder if the way Kazuki feels about Haruka resembles the way Lulu felt about Milne, that would explain why Kazuki goes to such lengths to make him happy despite ‘hating’ him.
Lulu would also use “desire” as her catchphrase in her flashback.
Sara appears over a some Kappas in her introduction.
This and her design seem to connect her to them very clearly, but what does this mean to her relationship with Reo and Mabu?
I’m really curios about Sara, her prince and if Keppi is somehow involved with her.
First off I’ll admit that I’m completely ignorant of Japanese mythology so I can’t interpret how it’s being used in the show.
Sara seems to have a connection to the kappa, she was found alone in the street on top of a plate with no sign of her parents anywhere, has mysterious powers, wears a kappa like dish on her head and her favorite food is cucumbers.
She is looking for her prince and Keppi being an actual prince feels too important to just be a coincidence but it is also too straightforward for Ikuhara. Keppi also seems to fill out all of Sara’s requirements… except for the fact that he looks like a frog.
“Normal humans can’t see this, Simply Asakusa Sara TV. I’m looking for my prince. They need to have a sexy voice, smell nice, have nice, pale skin, and not be a frog, dish. My favorite food is cucumbers.”
With how angry it makes Keppi to be mistaken for a frog I cant help but wonder if maybe it’s a dig at how he looks. Or maybe it’s just because of princesses having to kiss frogs in fairy tales. Or maybe the two have something to do with each other.
“The prince should be in a cold sleep somewhere, dish. Whoever destroyed that will be cursed, dish.”
Keppi mentions the fact that Kazuki and Toi woke him up. And we are told the prince should be asleep when Sara is reporting the broken statue.
“Good morning” is also the first thing we hear them both say and with this being an Ikuhara anime it’s probably meant to indicate something to us.
In the manga however, when we see Sara’s prince he looks like the pajama-man that had visited Reo and Mabu before because he sleepwalked away from his house.
I don’t know how or if the manga will be relevant to the anime but even if that man is indeed Sara’s prince I feel like Keppi might still be related to her in someway.
