why do people seem to resent the crew so much? its not like theyre taking randl content away from people, and they do so much hard work to make the show better, but it seems like all people want is to see less of them. i feel like the crew deserves to get showed off since they work so hard on the show

Lots of people love the crew. The GMC videos regularly get 400k+ views, after all. It’s perfectly fine if you love the crew. 

However, they are “taking RandL content away from people,” and I imagine that’s where most of the anti-crew sentiment in the fandom comes from. Simply put, it seems likely we’d see more of RandL if they weren’t filling up so much of their videos with the crew. We’d see more of Rhett & Link interacting with each other if they didn’t bring crew members onto the set and interact with them instead. We’d see Rhett & Link making their own jokes instead of trying to help the crew make jokes instead. We’d see Rhett & Link in more bonus videos on Facebook if the crew weren’t making that content instead. We’d even probably see Rhett & Link have adventures outside the studio (like visiting Mini Wheat) if they didn’t send the crew to do those things instead. 

I’m dubious about the argument that the crew “deserves” anything for their hard work other than the paychecks and benefits they’re due, but I think they get showed off plenty on their very own Saturday show regardless. I don’t resent them having GMC, but I wish that’s where they’d stay.

Yes, you said it yourself-- “too far”. Please don’t call them assholes or bitches. I agree that they’re not very funny, but we don’t have to be mean. Most of them seem to do a good job behind the camera, but personally I skip most episodes where they’re in front of it.

Yesterday’s episode was boring, and today’s episode was boring. What a way to waste two days of the last week of GMM. I’m here for Rhett and Link. Not the crew. I don’t want to see them trying (and failing) to be funny... leave that for the snorefest that is GMC. Ugh.

Golden Rhett and Link moment on Earbiscuits *-*

Rhett: When you were dating Anna, and I was dating Amber, I do remember at some point being in somebody's house, and there was some kissing going on in a room.

Link: Making out? Perhaps?

Rhett: You could call it extended kissing sessions. I remember kissing Amber and doing the head turn. And for some reason, I open my eyes, just to see who else is kissing, you know? And I look over, and I see you kissing Anna and you had done the same thing. And now we are making eye contact while kissing these girls! At first, there was a bit of "this is unnatural, we shouldn't be making eye contact". The second thought was "this is pretty cool - there's my best friend over there, you know, he's kissing a girl, and I'm kissing a girl".

Link: I don't exactly remember this moment, but I'm guessing for me it was more about "okay, I gotta see what progress Rhett's making, and I gotta make that progress too".
