YouTube swaps for @radblrthemeweeks
I watch YouTube when I want to have some downtime... And I like my YouTube to be fun.
I thought I would share some female YouTubers I've been enjoying recently, I'd love to hear other people's recommendations!
If you like Nick DiRamio or Mike's Mic, TV and film review/comedy videos try -
Jamie French
She reviews bad and nostalgic films, including skits where she green screens herself into scenes from the films. She points out production errors, lazy tropes and is pretty fun. The series started out being "movies and make up" but the make up is easy to ignore and as she's done more movie review videos she seems to be doing the on-screen make up less and less.

Sleepover is a dumpster fire
I think I found the worst dance movie of all time
Kierra loves TV
Kierra summarises and discusses characters and tropes in her favourite TV shows. Her channel is pretty new, only 7 months old, and while i don't watch her videos on family guy, in her other videos she has a great voice and interesting perspectives on early 2000s TV - I enjoy her videos on Gilmore girls and Sex and the City
Recommended videos
Why everybody hates Carrie Bradshaw
The manipulation of Emily Gilmore
If you like Todd in the Shadows or other deep dives into musicians, one hit wonders, artists who didn't make it, try -
Naomi Cannibal
Naomi talks about a range of topics including celebrity culture and TV shows, but I particularly enjoy her videos about musicians careers and history.
Recommended videos -
One album wonders : label conflicts and the rise of streaming
Teairra Mari - the girl who was almost Rihanna
If you like Stuart Hicks or Architecture related videos try -
Belinda Carr
Belinda makes videos about architecture and modern building techniques and trends. I find her videos to be very informative, even if you're not that into architecture I recommend giving her a try!Recommended videos -
Bamboo Vs cork flooring - everything you need to know
How to build straw bale houses - pros and cons
If you like day in the life, spending challenges and solo travel try -
Clickfortaz
I love Taz's videos, she is silly, very honest and quite naïve. Her friendship with her childhood friend Moon is really lovely, but most of her videos are just Taz trying new things. She has talked a lot about her mental health and has published and performed her poetry.
Recommended videos -
I tried to bake a cake with no recipe
Living in a treehouse for 48 hours
If you like furniture restoration or carpentry like Blacktail Studio try
Transcend Furniture Gallery
Angie repairs, restores and up cycles furniture. The videos are informative but also very calm and satisfying and I really like her work!
Restoring table tops - stripping, sanding, staining, sealing
Do you like videos of model and miniature making like Thalasso Hobbyer? Try -
KaypeaCreations
Karen makes a lot of animals, mythical and real, and her methods and techniques are really interesting to watch.

Anyone from german radblr watched "Alice" in ARD? A mockumentary about the life and politics of Alice Schwarzer, founder and publisher of "EMMA"?
I don't agree with everything Schwarzer said or did but found it very interesting.
Honestly it didn’t make me truly laugh until Darth Vader came tootling tooting out and then I lost it.
WHAT IS THIS OH MY GOD
I’m just gonna add this:
Happy Star Wars Day!
Re: “WHAT IS THIS OH MY GOD”
Mark Hamill was a guest at the german television show Disco on ZDF (second largest public-service proadcaster) in the ‘80s. And… yeah… he was apparently made to do this…
I was like, “Ok, Ok, I don’t understand the language, but whatever.”
THEN VADER SHOWED UP WITH THE WORSE TRUMPET EVER AND SAVED US ALL.
@lesbianrey He truly is our king.
The Riotheatre is showing a rape video tomorrow. Canadian feminists need to get moving. And us overseas too.
This is a pornographic movie in which a woman is beaten and raped.
The Riotheatre is aware of all this. It's been public information since the 80s. Yet this is their description of the event:
Leave a negative review on their Facebook, TripAdvisor, Yelp and Google pages.
You can message the theatre on Instagram (comments are closed).
There is also a contact form on their website.
People with siblings are so genuinely scary they're just constantly asking you things like "you never played 3-Minute Eye Gouge as a kid? you never played Fireplace Chase? you never played Actual Serial Killer?"
i’m crying laughing at this
My sister and I played "Barkeeper" where she would mix water, toothpaste, mouthwasch and other stuff in my cup (Zahnputzbecher) and I would drink it.

Rebecca Whitehurst never wants to set foot in a school again.
She also wants all teachers, especially female ones, to wear bodycams, to have CCTV in every classroom and for teachers to operate in pairs. “I think teachers should never be alone with children, there should always be someone else there. I know it is dramatic but I don’t want what happened to me to ever happen to anyone else,” she said.
The views of Whitehurst, who is married with two children and has been a modern languages teacher for more than ten years, have been shaped by what she describes as a “modern horror story”.
Last week the 46-year-old wept as a jury at Manchester’s Minshull Street crown court cleared her of two charges of sexual activity with a child and one of sexual communications. She had been accused of a sexual act with a 15-year-old pupil in the back of her Volvo and of sending him explicit texts, including a photograph of her breasts.
The court heard that the teenager, who had declared he was in love with Whitehurst, became obsessed with her and lied about or faked the messages. The boy, who watched pornography involving older women, assaulted her in her classroom and sent an abusive message to her daughter, the court was told.
The family spent £43,000 fighting the case, which dragged on for three years. If convicted she would have faced up to 14 years’ in jail.
this heavily implied that a very large amount, if not a majority, of false student sexual assault allegations against teachers are male students against female teachers, NOT female students against male teachers. i imagine most of them are male students bragging and lying that they 'slept with the hot teacher', as well as sexually harassing female teachers, and then when it gets noticed or reported, they lie and say that the teacher was mutually involved. and porn plays a massive part.
I thought exactly the same! I hope nobody (*cough* MRAs) will use this for some kind of "false accusations are on the rise" argument because I bet it's almost exclusively teenage boys doing this to female teachers...
Soo my guilty pleasure is this show on german TV "the perfect dinner", where over the span of a working week "ordinary people" cook for each other and host an evening.
This week is "diversity week" because of pride month.
So who wants to guess the contestants?
1 gay man (who is becoming a priest)
1 trans woman
1 "gender fluid" female
2 trans men
Hmmm..whats missing? 🤔
So:
Day 1 yesterday the host was trans man #1 (who came out over 10 years ago and "fully" transitioned and has a male partner. He seems rather reasonable): Max made everything vegan and was a very good host.
He boasted about being the first trans man to be voted for "Mr. Gay" which is..whatever.
He got a very high rating - 38/40 which is very high for this show.
Day 2 was "gender fluid" Kathy, 24 years old, starting the guest round by showing pictures of herself as a child with long hair and talking about her gender identity connected to cutting her hair.
She wears lots of makeup, for the evening as a host she wears what she herself calls a "waiters outfit" (white button up, black tie, black jackett.
Her cooking seems "ok", very considerate (all vegan, no soy, no nuts...) but all in all the guests seemed as if they would have liked more "homemade" stuff (e.g. the gnocci and other items on the menu were store bought).
Rating was 28/40.
Day 3 is trans woman Josi
In her intro she explained that she began her transition very early. She describes that when in kindergarten she already liked dressing in "princess dresses" and playing with dolls (so that obv means you cannot be a boy!).
Evening starts now with shots, I'll update this later.
Got distracted, but:
Dinner seemed nice, the guests felt welcome.
At one point Josi put on a song she recorded an (badly) sang along. The jist if it was that everyone wants her (post-op) tits. Cool.
The rest of the evening seemed to be influenced by Josis need to keep everyone drunk.
I might be biased but I def has the feeling that the rating from the other contestants was pretty high just because Josi was trans 🤷♂️
Day 4: The only gay person in this diversity week: Tim is cooking. He is also a priest (protestant/evangelisch for you germans).
Let's see what's going to happen.

German culture 15 years ago was watching a weird game show with your parents and cringe at the moment when the host tried to vibe with the music act but still watching because you know the band was gonne be a guest on the couch. Which was the exact moment your parents went to the loo...
“alles BÄM?”
SO und nicht anders hat man eine Bäckerei zu betreten ☝
Getting bullied in my own fucking discord for saying I have dark blonde hair, hate you terven bastards so much :(
Okay settling this in the big arena. Recent pic of my hair:
And my hair at 14:
Brown or dark blonde?
It's what my mum calles "straßenköterblond". I have the same colour (almost..getting gray already). But definitely blonde I'd say.
