Howdy I'm an artist in my 20's that loves warbly 90's indie guitar music, esoteric jrpg vibes, and black licorice. If I can capture a little bit of the cool shit I see in my head and share that with the people of the world in a way that they can enjoy or relate to, I'm all for it.

I used to gone by a few different handles on other platforms, but this is an opportunity to start fresh. Therian-adjacent considerations: How do we interact with the internet?

Consider this. It would take a very strong argument to state that therians do not have a stronger than average connection with the natural environment. Consider this. Without the infinitely ephemeral network of machines, the therian community might have not formed in its modern incarnation.

In other terms… 21st century Opium des Volkes, as if designed to foster detachment from reality and a lack of engagement with the issues that truly matter… ends up creating a subset of creatures that do the precise opposite. A paradox of being connected to the natural realm but ensnared in the virtual one. The allure of digital howls leading away from the essence of what we are: the raw, unfiltered connection with the physical environment. Yes, in the absence of fish, a crab is fine too, but the crab pales in comparison to the visceral experience of genuine, physical interaction.

Needless to mention the distortion of self-presentation, where Goffman would want a word… this deserves an essay in all, but gosh, have I not got the spoons right now.
