if a person of color is telling you that you’re being racist you need to recognize it and apologize. if a gay/bisexual person is telling you that you’re being homophobic/biphobic you need to recognize it and apologize. if a transgender person is telling you that you’re being transphobic, recognize it and apologize. if a woman is telling you that you’re being sexist, recognize it and apologize. the line is not yours to be drawn.
If someone of the opposite gender tells you you're being sexist you need to recognize it and apologize.
being mysterious is neat but what I learned early on is that instead of people being curious and being patient to learn about your personality, people decide your entire personality is “mysterious” and they will obsess over that and fetishize it and work to be the one who is allowed in bc it makes them feel special but the moment they learn a single important thing about you, the minute they realize you’re human, the moment they feel like they have nothing left to learn whether that’s true or not, they’ll get bored and leave.
people who are only interested when you deny them something they want will live their entire lives unsatisfied, and they don’t make good friends. mysteriousness is overrated. just be yourself and value the people who are interested in what you choose to share and who want to learn more, who want to see your humanness.

Awkward thing I said #456- my husband told me we were doing Christmas at his parents house this year because his mom has cancer (she has had back and forth fights with cancer for 6 years). And I said "youre gonna keep using that trump card till it dies, eh?"... *crickets*

-get motivated -eat healthy -get some sun/fresh air -workout/stretch -find new music -clean -do things to create a feeling of a fresh start (clean out phone, etc.) -write/read -stop waiting and start creating the life of your dreams. Your time is now, and you are more than capable of achieving your goals, if you would just believe and work towards them every single day.
quiet morning with my pal stephen over here ☕️
someone just started blasting the indiana jones theme music on this train and i can’t tell who it is
but bless them
Apparently if you play the Indiana Jones theme music at an archaeological dig like half the people reach for their phones
#the other half reach for their phones if you play the jurassic park theme
As an anthropologist I find this hysterical
