I'm not brave enough to play online, so I'm just fighting CPUs at the highest difficulty.
Gentle for short range, Chisaki for mid-range, Nagant for long-range. I like to believe they make a good team. :)
Putting these screenshots here in case I want to look up how I had created them in the demo ...
Tsutsumi is a confident/leader type. Gentle Criminal is an energetic/bubbly type.
They redecorated the lobby, and now we have lovely Hydrageas everywhere.
I can't shake the feeling that someone on the dev team really likes Overhaul?
I've now reached chapter 14 of Yakuza: Like A Dragon and it's SO good.
I've watched Yakuza 0 before, and it was also really damn good, too, but Like A Dragon is not that far behind.
Kasuga may seem like a bit much of a goody-two-shoes for an ex-yakuza, but he really believes in the good of the old ways, which highlights the discrepancy between what the yakuza were, could be, and are. The story takes a while to build, but when the full history of the Arakawa family is revealed, boy does it deliver.
I've been chasing Arakawa for 12 chapters, and not only is the reunion between him and Kasuga everything you could ask for, but the games goes further to pull out the rug from under the player, like - If you had no motivation to go on into the endgame, you have NOW.
The story writers here know how to rope in the player on an emotional level. I love it.
tomodachi life should have a morality slider in character creation. so you can create characters who are jerks, to create more friction and have more interesting interactions. and if they meet the right person, an evil person can have a change of heart, or a good person can be corrupted to the side of evil
I have set the sytem voice (for battle rules etc) in My Hero All's Justice to Gentle & Brava.
Best choice ever.
I completely forgot, but I did try to build AU Chisaki's cramped basement apartment in ACNH once. There are not as many windows on the outside wall, of course. Just one, and I couldn't exactly fit the genkan in there with how wide the default entrance is. Just working with the tools the game gives me ...
My Hero Ultra Impact might be shutting down, but at least I get to keep my favorite team in All's Justice.
And they complement each other just as expected: Lady Nagant for long-range, Overhaul for mid-range and Gentle Criminal for close-range.
Life advice by Overhaul.
I laughed way too hard at this.

First of all, I LOVE that we get so much Small Might in All's Justice.
But isn't it kind of weird that he's talking like Buff Might? I know he does that sometimes even when in this form, but most of the time he talks in a much calmer and quieter voice.
Chris Sabat did such a fine job in the anime using different voices for All Might in his two forms, so I'm wondering ... Wasn't he given any voice direction? No context for the lines? Cuz that seems like a MASSIVE oversight by the devs.
Actually, I have an even worse creeping suspicion about the voice lines in this game, and I pray I am mistaken.
I haven't encountered or played every character in the game yet, but when I heard Tomura Shigaraki in the story missions, I failed to recognize the voice at first. And many of the other voices, too, sound just a little too ... flat maybe? Or generic? Or the pitch is just slightly off? I got the strongest disconnects from All Might, Tomura and Overhaul so far, but it's also there with Dabi and Tenya for example.
I suppose all if it could be chalked up to poor direction, but I'm getting that distinct uncanny valley feeling that triggers my internal AI sludge detection.
Maybe that's just me and my love for underrated MHA characters but what is there actually to do in My Hero All's Justice for an all-villain or all-pro hero team?
You can do Free Battles, okay.
And Network, if you're into that.
But Team Up is limited to class 1-A.
The Hub area is limited to class 1-A.
Archive Battles need to be unlocked through Team Ups (and you get no achievements with custom teams).
Story mode is kinda short and you're locked into specific characters, too.
...
One's Justice 2 had Arcade Mode and Mission Mode at least, both of which were challenging enough to grind away at for a while.
Had to go and set my new favorite team right away. I still need to unlock more name pieces, tho. "Besties"? lol right.
Also is it just me, or is Kai smiling under his mask? Just a little bit?
I mean I love Kai smiling, but it does feel a little ooc for him.
Also ... this game needs more opportunities for me to deploy this team. What happened to the good ol Arcade mode?
Can I just say that Sengoku Basara was a tremendously underrated game series?
Even ten years later, I keep revisiting the music and character designs on occasion. Sengoku Basara 3 Utage is also the only Japanese copy of a game that I own. I can't read a word Japanese. Still played through the whole game.
The gameplay is very similar to that of the "Warrior" series, but I will die on the hill that Basara took the Warrior series concept and did it better in every regard.
Here's a playlist of the Basara 3 OST btw.
The text accompanying the artwork reads:
Wearing state-of-the-art costumes obtained through back channels, Chisaki and Lady Nagant quietly scheme. They are not united by the League of Villains' ideology, but by their shared doubts about the very system of hero society itself. "Why did you team up with me?" "Who knows. Maybe it's a matter of shared interests." Neither justice nor evil, the trigger for change is about to be pulled by the two schemers.
MHUI: The only game that had Giulio Gandini as a playable character.
