❝ IT’S LIKE, SOMETHING OUT OF SHAKESPEARE,❞ perrie decided, her knuckles resting thoughtfully against her chin, her teeth worrying her lower lip. she’d been making a conscious effort to visit more art galleries, after realizing that she couldn’t just drop off her business card, with her personal phone number, and not know anything about who she was giving it to. she turned from the painting, then– a massive oil one, housed in a gilt frame, with strokes so thick the paint seemed to stand up off the canvas– to regard her sudden company– heedless to whether or not they wanted to share in conversation. ❝ what do you think? ❞
Seth, ever the show-off, had been looking for a new piece for his living room. So visiting art galleries near his home had become somewhat of a pastime for him as of late. He meandered lazily through the gallery until he reached a painting also being admired by a young woman. Idly he figured she seemed familiar, though he didn’t care about it enough to press his memory. “Shakespearean in tone I would give you, though I’d argue it’s closer to Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus in general. Shakespeare wasn’t afraid to go there but something about Marlowe has always tickled my fancy better.”
