Lee: OMG I KNEW IT. can we call him Wolverine? I'm on an X-Men kick.
Lee: Ain't that the truth.
Lee: So, what's up with you?
harmony: lol sure. It's extremely complicated. We're friends and that is all.
harmony: I don't know. My parents hate me which really isn't new news but it's whatever. I'm staying on campus and probably going back and forth to the house this summer.
She was screwed. Chase had this game and even though she was well aware of that fact, Harmony was still having a good time. “I can’t believe I’m losing!” She laughed and sat at a bar stool a few inches away from the table. “You’re really good, Chase. Should have played for money.” She chuckled.
FROM CHASE: 🎱 … your muse owning mine’s ass in pool.
She groaned as Chase once again got his solid ball into the socket. “I feel like you’re cheating.” Harmony chuckled and circled the table, waiting for her turn. She chalked her cue stick with a smirk and pointed to the table. “So where’d ya learn how to play?”
Lee: I failed a class, and my professor, who is also my advisor basically said that I'm in the wrong major and that I need to rethink my life.
Lee: Daniel would know what to say... and make this better.
Harmony: well, he's cute and he's very dangerous because aside from being a Panther he's got that brooding thing going on! lol.
Harmony: I know this is going to sound terrible but what's your major? They kinda need to realize you had a tough summer. We all did. I'm president of student government. I can have a talk with the counselors.
Harmony: Um. well, I was around Danny a lot so how about I give it a try?
Harmony: You're put on this Earth and you're expected to know all your answers after 18 which is silly considering you were just asking for a hallpass to go to the damn bathroom just a few months ago! Don't let it get to you. Adults seem to forget that they didn't have their shit together at our age either. And if they say they did, they're liars.
Harmony: If what you are doing is what you want to do then show them! Show them just how great you are.

“I’m not going.”
Silence.
You could here a pin drop in the dining area and Harmony’s father asked the staff to leave, leaving only him, his wife and Harmony. “Excuse me?” He chewed on his steak, stabbing a morsel with his fork and Harmony’s mother reached out for him arm. “Is this the boy you’re seeing?”
“Boy? What boy?” Harmony had covered her tracks. She was sure of it. Her hook ups only existed on school ground or anywhere other than her home. There was no way her parents knew about any boy or girl for that matter.
“Your status, honey.” Her mother interjected and pulled the plate that Harmony had started to eat from. “Too many calories.” She whispered and Harmony felt the tears stinging her eyes.
“Of course.” She took the napkin off her lap and placed it gently on the table. “There is no boy or GIRL. you conveniently forget about the possibilities.
“Don’t talk to you mother that way!”
“That’s fine since I was speaking to you!” She gripped her fork before releasing it. “I don’t want to go to Greece. I have friends I’d like to spend the summer with.”
“And you wouldn’t mind if I checked with Bryce’s parents? Make sure you are only spending time with Lions?”
So they did know...
They knew something.
“Sure. Do whatever you want. I want to stay on campus. No Greece. I’ll watch my calories and get ready for the pageant in August. I don’t think it’s too much to ask. I’m an adult now.”
Her father glared at her and she looked away as to not meet his gaze.
“You’ll stay on campus but you can come home as many times as you please. You know the rules. No boys.”
“Until I win. I know.” She tucked in her bottom lip licked the top of her teeth. “May I be excused?”
She stood up and her father caught her arm. “That mechanic friend of yours did a great job on the BMW. But you are no longer allowed to see him. Panther territory? Do I need to send all my associates after you? Do you know how much you are worth?”
“Honey what your dad is saying is...”
“I hear you. Loud and clear.” She flashed them a smile and withdrew her hand, quietly made her way to the garage and got into her car. She pulled up her phone and sent Benat a quick text.
