the cosmog atticus has in his possession is not nebby! i'm running under the notion that the aether foundation was able to collect more than one cosmog, though they were still highly precious and rare pokemon to have at all.

his eldest was on an internship to the aether paradise and on a mission to bring back intel to his father--and brought back far more than just that in the form of one of the original cosmogs they had found and captured.

they still had nebby at that time--until lillie ran away with him and kicked off the events of sun and moon.
