I bought a house last week. I love it. Perfect location! I move on March 8th.

Greetings from the Gulf Coast in the panhandle of Florida.. We are having a literal blizzard today!

Today was a two-nap day! I got up early, waited until it was light, then took off for a run. Then a bunch of other things happened after my shower, then I took a nap. On the couch.

After that I got after it! Grocery, pedicure, cooking, etc. Then the next nap on the couch.

What a great day.. A lot got done, even with two naps. Go me!

I have a new family member! She’s a preemie and not quite out of the woods yet but her daddy is a tough fothermucker so, along with prayers, I’m not too worried.

Her middle name is my mom’s maiden name. ❤️ My son did that.

Hi! I went to Chicago over the weekend with a friend and it was amazing! Great weather, bougie hotel, delicious food and wine, amazing shopping, and a fun travel partner!

Hi! It’s been a minute. I’m so much older now.

I have moved back to Florida.

I’m lonely. I’m sure I’ll be fine. Or not. I miss my Texas friends.

Lesson: You can go through your whole life taking care of others and they don’t realize it was a sacrifice for you.

The tricky part about being a caregiver is when you need to talk about where you are in life.. maybe bounce some ideas off someone you trust.. But you don’t want to appear to be weak and vulnerable because the people in your life are counting on you to be strong.

Update:

A week ago today we closed on the sale of our beautiful home. This past Friday our divorce was final.

My younger son and his girl are coming to Ft Worth for Thanksgiving! No Christmas plans but I’m going to Miami mid-December for our last Holiday party before the acquisition..

Just a lot of endings which, of course, means new beginnings.

Heeey! It’s been a minute.

Quick update: I moved out in April.. I love living alone without the tension but miss my doggo.

During my weekly doggie visit yesterday, I told Mike that I wanted a divorce. His response was “Okay”.

I expected that but some part of me didn’t, I guess.

I’m good. Made some friends here at the apartments. I’m not lonely and my job keeps me busy and engaged.

EVERYTHING WILL BE OKAY. 🤞

I moved out three months ago. I am happy! This small span of my life is literally (actually, honestly) the first time I’ve lived in the moment instead of worrying about what’s next. It is an amazing feeling.

I am not going to tell you about the dream I had last night because I know it would be boring. I hate it when people tell me about their stupid, no storyline dreams.

Fine. It was Jason Momoa and me in bed doing sexy things.

I have no control over my dreams.

Some things I love about my new place.. View of downtown Fort Worth, miles and miles of Trinity River Trails, tons of carry out dinner choices right downstairs, and Taco Truck Thursdays!

During my recent move, I lost my wedding rings and a gold thumb ring that I’d worn probably 25 years.

Actually I suspect they were stolen but I can’t prove it.

It seems like some kind of a sign idk.

Hi, guys! Big news: I moved!! I have a new apartment in Fort Worth and it is perfect!! So happy! I’m five days in and already feel at home.

It was a tough decision but absolutely necessary. Currently giving myself kudos for having the courage to finally do it!
