Woman does not emerge from a manâs ribâs, not ever, itâs he who emerges from her womb.

The whole âIâm not like other girlsâ movement should really be called the âI donât want men to treat me the way they treat other womenâ movement because thatâs what it really is. Women know that a girl who wears makeup is as respectable as a girl who wears none. A girl whoâs played every Final Fantasy game is as respectable as a girl who digs Candy Crush. A woman who started her own law firm is as respectable as a single mom who works in the service industry. A girl who enjoys casual sex is as respectable as a girl who has never had her first kiss. A lesbian who has no interest in men is as respectable as a straight girl who loves her boyfriend. A girl who reads People magazine is as respectable as a girl who reads Dostoyevsky.
Women have been extensively shamed for saying âIâm not like other girlsâ when what they are really saying, maybe without knowing it, is âIâve heard the way men talk about specific types of women, typically women who do things that they donât understand or relate to, and I really, really want them to separate me from that and see me as a person who is worthy of being respected.â How much respect a woman gets from men is very rarely indicative of how much she deserves.
âI donât want you to treat me the way you treat other girls, because you treat other girls like shit.â
fantastic post
iâve been working 3+ years in a job during which iâve seen hundreds of womenâs bodies in a medical context
lemme tell you a thing
women are fucking hairy, ok? iâve seen women covered with hair from their ankles to their armpits. women with super visible pubic hair that approaches their bellybuttons, regardless of race/ethnicity. we have hair absolutely everywhere and our public image as women is totally devoid of this reality.Â
men really have no idea how hard women have to work to make ourselves hairless. itâs as unnatural for us as it is for them but this is something that doesnât even cross their minds as they emerge from their caves looking like unwashed wookies not even aware of how much theyâre just allowed to exist.

Weâve been taught a womanâs body will cause men to sin. Weâre told that if a woman shows too much of her body men will do stupid things. Letâs be clear: A womanâs body is not dangerous to you. Her body will not cause you harm. It will not make you do stupid things. If you do stupid things, it is because you chose to do stupid things.
