blame this on percy being the main character. but i love that throughout most iterations of percy jackson and the olympians. book, musical, or tv series. he is somewhat aware that his story is being told. in fact. he is the only character in the pjo series that talks directly to reader. and i just love the implications that he can sense a plot point before it happens.

Reasons I would never be in a fantasy novel:

I have two parents, both of them very much alive, and I look exactly like them.

Prophecies--girl, HOW am I supposed to hear a very important something or other ONE TIME and then remember if exactly in italics

Actually short term memory and slow sound processing in general definitely wouldn't help me out

Dreams--I fear I'm only capable of the 'mildly inconvenient nonsense' type of dream and not the 'evil one spelling out certain doom to me while I sleep' variety

I have the reflexes of an aged sea turtle

I have no friends

People would probably peg me as the smart one (I get good grades, have nerdy hobbies, and like spouting randon facts), but in fact I suck at riddles as well as at thinking under pressure, thinking outside the box, and recalling information that's actually important to a situation at any convenient time, so that wouldn't go well
