i do think we should normalise being like. platonically enamoured with someone. perhaps i love and admire you dearly and there's nothing romantic about it
November 7th marks the anniversary of the october revolution which resulted in the hardest painting ever made
“Свершилось!”/“Finally!”, Sergey Lukin
“[They]Extinguish the human with work… why? Stealing the life itself from the human - I ask again, Why?! Our owner - I lost my life at Nefedov’s factory - our owner gifted one songstress a golden hygiene set, even a gold champer pot! In this chamber pot is my force, my life itself. This is for what it was needed - a person killed me with work to satiate his lover with my blood - he bought a golden chamber potty with my blood!”

Poverty in Canada
The passenger trains are gone, the busses between cities are gone, the bus in my town is underfunded, I can't get a job because of it, I can't get a job without an education either. Except that the college dropped 80% of the classes, and I can't afford to leave town, and I can't drive to leave town, and the light rail track is a walking trail now, and the cheapest bus to the city-over is $120, and I can't get a job, and I've gotten sicker, and my friends have left to University, and I can't get a job, and the University costs $50,000 a year, and I can't afford to move, and I can't drive and everything is getting worse and the heat of the sun sears me as I walk, 1000 meters to the bus stop, over the vast sea of concrete that my town has become.
Everything alive is crispy and dead, dowsed in herbicides to make sure only the half-dead chimera roses and lawns remain, 200 cars drive past me as I melt onto the pavement. The bus now only comes once per hour. 13 billion dollars for a new data center, there's a dead butterfly baked onto the pavement of a parking lot. There used to be a forest here. And I can't get a job.
And the college might shut down. The train station is a storage closet; police guard the sanctity of the rail to keep us out. A 20 foot wide corridor of private land stretching coast-to-coast, on one side the lake and on the other side the people. The people built the rail, the station and the cars, the people now have to privilege of arrest should they use what they're created. My mom is getting sicker. And I can't get a job.
I walk with a cane now. A three-legged beast, the shop owners are afraid to hire me. The news said another young woman has gone missing. There is a land acknowledgement, another young woman has gone missing, the land remains stolen. Another parking lot has been built on it, over the bones beneath the sand. And I can't get a job.
It's 35 degrees. They say we'll be increasing emissions, for the economy. A man sleeps behind bushes, hiding from the sun, there's an empty house down the street, his hands are cracked like pavement. He sleeps in winter, when its 20 degrees below, he sleeps in the summer when its 40 above. 13 billion dollars for a new data center. And he can't get a job. And the shelter is behind the sewage plant. And I can't get a job.
The man stopped moving. The house is still empty. 300 cars drive past me, and the wealth is making me sick. And the people are making me sick. And everything is making me sick. And the leaders do nothing, men in fine clothes gather to pull from the earth greater and greater wealth, they reach past the man behind the bushes, past the hungry, past the bones. And I can't get a job.
I love when people are weird. Do your thing diva

happy pride month, Divas! here's a Barbie and the Diamond Castle reaction for you🤍
we gotta get back to torrent distribution, i just watched someone eat eight grand in bandwidth charges because they ran a direct-download piracy site with local file hosting through cloudflare. torrents were invented literally for this exact reason
torrents work like this
i have a file or folder on my pc that i want to share with other people. let's call it gayshit.mp3
unfortunately gayshit.mp3 is 750mb and im not paying for discord nitro so i need another way to send it
i put it into qbittorrent and it makes a torrent file. this is essentially a very small file that points to gayshit.mp3 so other computers can find it. kinda like a treasure map
i send this tiny file to my friend, who loads it into qbittorrent. their computer takes a moment to find mine over the vast expanse of cyberspace and then (as long as my pc is running and the file is still where it should be), it gets copied from my hard drive to theirs
this is the cool part: if somebody else loads that tiny file, they can download it from both of us. if i'm offline but my friend is on, the third person can still get it. this also means that if two people have separate halves of the file, they can download the other half from each other. as long as some combination of people have the pieces between them, they can all have the whole thing.
crucially this does not require a server!!! you can just upload the file to a few people and as long as they keep it, it's still accessible. as long as somebody, somewhere is still connected, it's available forever. the only way it goes away is if everybody disconnects from it.
please learn to torrent
An expert guide to get started using torrentsTorrents are one of the most popular forms of file sharing on the internet, accounting for over
always use qbittorrent, do not use bittorrent or utorrent.
your problem is you think if you communicate with clarity and earnestness that people will actually understand you
