It's my 6 year anniversary on Tumblr 🥳
Time moves fast. I have thoughts but let me go home first.
Football
I've been an Arsenal fan since 2008. And we finally win the Premier League but lost Champions League.
We go again next year.
We stress too much for a life that can end at any time.
Just click the 'red x'
I closed all of my tabs. Well, most of them.
I opened my laptop and clicked the 'red x's. It was that simple.
The reason I feel so disengaged and sad right now is because I haven't done my annual read of Harry Potter for two years now.
My books are at home and I'm somewhere else.
Being Christian
I'm not discussing religious belief.
I grew up in an evangelical church, it was fun I guess, I didn't know anything else, however now it seems like I missed out on so much, because it was all about vibes and stuff. There was no ritual to it.
It is religion. There should be ritual, symbols, dress codes, standard of music, ways to read the Bible and so forth.
There was never penance, no special rituals on Easter or Christmas, nothing that unites one church to the next one. Self interpretation of the Bible, and everyone had their own.
Not to bash them, but I long for ritual, trinkets, prayer books, methods. Not vibes, because I'm a very low vibes type of person, and feeling stuff isn't something I do.
Evangelical Christianity reminds of those Christian groups who fled Europe to America during the pilgrimage times; anything that deviated from their square beliefs was considered demonic.
There is an irony here. Evangelicals are very judgemental, however they are also the most open and accepting people in the world. That is the best part of growing up in this community. You could be and do whatever you want without getting judged.
Everyone was obviously conservative, however there was acceptance of a lot of lifestyles like homosexuality, feminism, 'immodesty', no gender roles, women leaders and pastors.
Basically, I wish there was more ritual in Evangelical Christianity. I need prayer beads, an altar, a special drink or candle, a prayer book with a timetable of what to pray everyday, oil, wine, special songs - not pop rock music that replaces your boyfriend with God.
Also, beautiful structures. A church could be in a tent and everyone would be happy. I'm not everyone, we need the stained glass windows, and art work, and arches and gargoyles and all of that jazz.
So I want to convert to Orthodoxy, or be Catholic.
The ”Divine triad” is part of a religious relief sculpture. It depicts the Aramaic god Baalshamin surrounded by Aglibol, acolyte of the storm god who became the lunar god, and Malakbel, "messenger of Bel”, the sun god. Each of the three deities is dressed in a lamellar strip cuirass typical of Palmyra. With their left hands, they grasp the hilts of their swords decorated with precious stones. Their right hands, sculpted separately and sealed with lead, are missing. It is not known whether they were making a blessing sign or holding a spear. Baalshamin wears a calathos, indicating his status as a celestial deity, and has billowing hair and a pointed beard that recall Persian and Parthian royal effigies.
Interesting.
Watching Pirates of the Caribbean; AWE
The song the little boys sings - it's about how the pirate lords captured calypso and bound her in human form!!
I wish I was smart, or had the talent, to tell such complicated story in a small short poetic way, and better yet put the words into song.
This movie series, at least the first four, are such a master piece. The world building, the characters, Jack Sparrow, Barbosa, the pirate legends, the supernatural and mystical portrayals of things.
Calypso, Davy Jones, Aztec gold, the Flying Dutchman, mermaids, Caribbean voodoo, fountain of youth: all these mythical elements as well as realism, like the British colonialism, Spanish colonialists, the diversity, the East India companies. It was so perfect.
I'm also not a movie watcher, so my knowledge of cinema is limited. But considering Disney created these stories based on a theme park ride; it's amazing what they created from it.
Whimsy
After watching pirates of the Caribbean, I want to build my house in the style of a ship.
But I want to build a twilight type glass house, but also a Hobbit house, but also a castle, but also a gothic/victorian style, but a NYC townhouse, but also traditional Chinese type courtyard house, but also a Scandinavian minimalist house, but also a Swiss mountain house, but also a English cottage, etc.
Music
I mainly listen to metalcore, rock and pop music. Sometimes pop punk.
Yeah I get it, I'm basic.
I need to expand my horizons. I also listen to Russian rock/pop, you know, the one where they all sound depressed.

Consumerism.
I have to cut down on stuff.
I have way too much makeup that I won't use up in my lifetime.
I have 30 lips sticks or gloss.
So many different pallets.
Also art supplies and stationery.
So much shit. I'm sad and overwhelmed.
Apparently in life, you need to talk and socialise with people.
Not something I'm fond of doing tbh.
So finally on the road to getting my license. Then I'll be a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Great!
Work again.
I'll be working. Again.
Again. Work.
Work Again.
Work
Again
Whenever a woman on twitter posts about getting a breast reduction surgery, horny men complain about how it's the worst thing ever.
And jokes are made about how the surgeon needs the death penalty.
That sucks. More is to be written on that topic.
Anyways, the point is, I hope to get a breast reduction surgery sometime in the future. I just need to lose some weight first.
I hate having big breasts.
