@selfstoragesafehaven
Lith was better. She was still heartbroken and it still took her about five seconds every morning to realize that the reason the sheets on Tox’s side of the mattress were cold was because he was never coming home again, but she could actually get out of bed after that realization now instead of just crumbling in on herself. She was working in the garden when Phantom had tracked her down and told her that a fussy Colton had kept Jack up most of the night. Jack wouldn’t complain, he never did, but that didn’t stop Lith from wanting to look after him the way he looked after her. She ran her hand over the short fuzz on her head where Grave had helped her buzz her hair off, a reminder to herself that this was real, that Tox was really gone, that she wasn’t just going to wake up from this horrible reality, but that it would be okay because she wasn’t alone, before pushing to her feet.
She paused long enough to clean the dirt from her hands before she made her way through the haven to the office that functioned as Jack and Colton’s room. It wasn’t a walk she made often. A majority of the time she’d been here had been spent in her own room and now that she was a more productive inhabitant, she and Jack rarely had the time to just sit and talk. She missed him almost as much as she missed Tech despite living with him. She would just have to catch him some other time to talk, though. Right now she had every intention of offering to watch Colton so Jack could get a nap in before his watch shift. She knocked lightly on the closed door. “Jack? Can I come in?”
((when ur dash lurking but u just wanna put some love out there. Hi, I love y’all and I disappeared again but i promise i had a reason?))
I was going to offer my limited medical help to anyone who got hurt in the storm, so the irony of losing my voice and having to play medic for myself during the worst of it isn’t lost on me.. But I can talk again and I’m still willing to help if anyone out there is still in need of assistance.
okay so tumblr is being a shit again and we can’t ever have a fully functioning website. One fix for missing previous replies is after you type your reply, press the little gear icon and switch the text editor from rich text to HTML. After the HTML is up, you have to erase the < p > < / p > from around the URL of the person you reblogged from (only there are no spaces, i just didn’t want tumblr to heck it up)

When the rain Is blowing in your face And the whole world Is on your case I could offer you A warm embrace To make you feel my love When the evening shadows And the stars appear And there is no one there To dry your tears I could hold you For a million years To make you feel my love
C’est mauvais. Je ne sais pas ce que cela est, mais il est mauvais...
I’ll be in my room making some aloe salve for trade and drying ginger root to use for tea later if anyone needs anything before this storm really hits...
Don’t get me wrong, I ain’t cryin’ over it or nothing. They’re kinda funny in an outside kinda way. Y’know? Since they don’t know how stupid they sound.
Luckily we have you to remind us just how stupid an accent and a few slang words makes someone sound. But no, I’m afraid I can’t find any humor in it, and certainly not from the outside considering I’m not on the outside. Tell me, though, is the view from your high horse a good one?
Right? Time used to be where you’d hear from ‘em once in a blue moon, now it’s like someone dropped a shipment in the desert.
You misunderstand me. You see, people are not rats, and if you don’t like hearing the voices of those you disagree with, you are welcome to turn your radio off because that is the only way you will ever successfully silence them.
What gives with all the rats clogging up the airwaves? Seems these days like I can’t go a fuckin’ day without hearin’ it.
It’s been a while since I last saw a rodent, I didn’t know that they had gained the ability to speak. Please, tell me more about this advanced, new rat.
Your lion’s heart will protect you under stormy skies.

As Long as I’m not alone, I’ll be just fine. It’s good to hear your voice again.
That’s trick isn’t it? Not being alone.
You too Venom. It’s been entirely too long. I’m... I’m glad to know you’re still alive..... still running.
I don’t think you have to worry about it. At least not yet. I think about the same thing all the time. All the time.
Maybe we’re both a little mad. At least there’s company.
There’s something about looking out at the sky and knowing how small I really am that’s comforting, and I’m not sure if I should worry about feeling that way or not.
we name the stars as if to claim them, but the universe belongs to no one
He looked at the clippers, stared at his own hand, pondered over her hair, and finally brought his gaze to her face. He didn’t understand this. He doubted he ever would. He couldn’t imagine what people would say or what would happen, but that wasn’t all that important right now. He could help somehow and that thought prompted his hand forward to engulf hers completely while he took her peacemaker from her. If this was gonna happen, he had to be just as sure as she was.
He let out a slow sigh of a breath and took her now-open hand into his free one, curling her fingers toward her palm and kissing the back of her hand gently. “Well,” he answered at last, “what are we waiting for, Princess? Where are we doing this?”
The grin returned to her face as soon as his hand closed around hers. She knew for sure that things between them were good now. She had hurt him, but he had accepted her apology and forgiven her even if she hadn’t yet forgiven herself.
“Come on, we can do it in the garden,” she said, taking hold of his hand after he pressed his lips to hers. “It’ll save us the clean up and I read once that hair is a good fertilizer anyway.” She tugged gently as she started to walk, signalling Grave to start walking. “Remind me to send you home with some aloe. It’s good for burns and I’ve been growing a plant.”
