“As true as that is, you should be smart with your words. You never know who’s listening.”
“Fair point, yeah. Sorry. It’s a little frustrating is all with everything going on.”
Belle <3
“Are you on drugs? You’re in the middle of Anderson Island I wouldn’t be saying things like that.”
“I’m sorry? I didn’t see the big deal with it when they were merely facts. It’s not just the city as a whole; certain parts are falling to pieces quicker than other’s I’m afraid.”
Cops get lonely too I guess. Not that, that makes it okay.
“There is a wrong and a right way to go about everything though. If only they realized that.”
“Not all apples in the bundle will be good ones, unfortunately.”
“Still, this city could use some positive motivation.”
“Thank you, though I’m sure my mother only named me that because she wanted people to notice.” she laughed. Honor remained silent for a moment, specially when Katrina mentioned the cameras “Yeah, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised I’ve had people with cameras around me my whole life, but in reality its something you never actually get used too.”
“At the very least it’s unique. I’ve met a dozen other Katrina’s in my life, but I haven't met anyone named Honor until now.” She smiled, fiddling with the glass in her hands. “No one should expect you to get used to something like that. A bit of privacy is always appreciated. I know I couldn’t handle it. I would be that crazy person who eventually snapped.”

M: I’ve always got time for you Little Gray M: it is but I’m capable of multitasking
K: Then pick a place and we’ll hang out Saturday. K: We need some down time.
Really? I wouldn’t have known! How do you keep so fit, I need the recipe. Defending yourself in the circumstances sounds like the best course of actions, yes. If you want, I can hook you up with my kickboxing trainer. You could learn a move or two.
“That would be great. I don’t need to be some pro kickboxer or anything, but being able to defend myself should anything happen would be reassuring. I don’t trust this city as much as I used to.”
“Nothing much really, just made a couple of lunch’s and dinners with my family,” she responds and shrugs, “how are you doing?” Lisette asks slightly guiding her off to the side so they were out of the flow of people.
“Family isn’t so bad at least right?” Katrina moved aside, nearly bumping into a gentleman wanting to pass. “I’m good. Mainly work but what’s new? Not a whole lot of anything interesting going in my life right now.”
“It’s a disgrace. Those people are meant to be protecting this city and helping people, and instead their out there wrecking their own reputations.”

The Right You Choose
@richie--lombardi
A late night at work meant an even later walk home. While she didn't live far, Katrina wasn't very fond of traversing the city at that hour. She hardly trusted anyone once the sun went down, and given recent events there was no reason to let that paranoia subside. She held tight to the strap of her purse, thinking of the pepper-spray somewhere inside that she hopefully would never have to use. She was aware of her own footsteps echoing off the concrete as she walked, but another set echoed as well. Not even that, but there seemed to be multiple footsteps all out of sync with each other.
Katrina didn't stop, but she did glance over her shoulder to see two men not far behind. Looking ahead again, she swallowed the lump in her throat as she tried not to put much thought into it. Maybe they were on their way to the bar or something. Maybe they were leaving one. Not everyone was a threat right? Still, she walked a little faster only to be met with the increased steps behind her. It got her heart beating a bit faster, her worries increased. Pepperspray was a great resource, sure, but she doubted it worked well against two grown men who were twice her size.
Her apartment building was in sight. The outline of it so close she almost thought about running. Thinking it would make it worse, she tried to just keep a good pace and hope for the best.
"Hey!"
Katrina flinched. The gruff voice of one of the men reached her ears with the utmost disgust. She didn't bother stopping.
"I'm talking to you!"
She glanced over her shoulder to find he had forgotten the casual pace they were all keeping. Instead he was taking larger strides in her direction, and before she could get a step away he had grabbed her by the arm; the other man approaching beside him with a sickly grin spread across his expression.
"Let me go!"
While Katrina tried to sound confident and tug her arm away, she was a rag doll in his much larger hands. The other man grabbed her bag while she tugged it back toward herself, but the end result was being dragged to the concrete with it. Feeling more vulnerable than ever, Katrina went to get to her feet only for the first to grab her up by a fist full of hair. The painful grasp had her clawing at his hand, the seriousness of the situation settling in.
"Let go! Someone help!"
Both men laughed. They sounded more like predators that knew they had their prey. Who was out this late even? Her only weapon was laid to waste at the bottom of her purse, and she hardly knew a single thing about fighting. Shoved against the hard exterior of the nearest building, she could still make out her apartment building just out of reach.
Lisette pushes up her sunglasses to sit in her head and nods, “Yes, it’s Katrina, yes?” Lisette asks recognizing the young girl. “I hope everything is alright, I really shouldn’t be trying to type an email and walk the street at lunch rush,” she says smiling.
“That’s right.” She nodded, shrugging off the reasoning. “I was focused elsewhere too. No big deal. How have you been since I last saw you?”
