•hero and mari know just how to handle your nightmares— they’re the sweetest, most patient caregivers, and they would be even more so when you had a bad dream.

•i think hero has his own fair share of nightmares, so he knows what to say! when he’s the one taking care of you, he’d speak very softly and only initiate physical contact if you said you wanted it.

•hero would hush you, brushing away the tear stains on your cheeks or gently rocking you until you were alright again. he’d promise you that the dream wasn’t real, that you were okay.

•when mari was the one who took care of you, her very first priority is to make sure you felt better.

•she’d press kisses to your cheeks, frowning and asking you if you wanted to talk about it. if you did, she would listen and assure you that you were safe, and if you didn’t, she’d simply hold you until you calmed down.

•if you had any stuffies, she’ll press them close into your grasp and pretend to make them talk, saying things like “everything’s okay, now!” or “i’ll protect you!”

•most of the time, though, you’ll find that hero and mari are both by your side when you have a bad dream. mari would gently bring you back to reality, calming you down with hero right by her side.

•hero would definitely do anything to make you smile!! trust that he will be bringing you water to make you feel better and also your favorite drink at the same time?? he’s got the snacks. he’s got your favorite movie/cartoon. he just really wants you to be okay and he is willing to do anything to make you feel safe!!

•mari may or may not laugh at him but. shhh you cannot prove anything!! she’ll be carding her fingers through your hair comfortingly and would even read you back to sleep if you wanted her to :)

•as a whole, mari and hero are always there for you!! they’re always there to assure you that your nightmare wasn’t real, that you’re alright and they would never let anything hurt you.

•nightmares are terrible but they make sure you never have to face them alone <3
