I appreciate your kind words. Personally, I don't consume gainer shakes (powder) as I find them to be costly and not tasty. Instead, you can easily create budget-friendly "gainer shakes" using ingredients like dextrose, simple sugars, corn syrup, and fats such as oils or cooking lard. These can be mixed with milk or, if you prefer, options like half & half, coffee cream, or real cream. I enjoy such a budget shake from time to time, but not on a daily basis.
A good tasting and inexpensive example would be: Ingredients:
500 ml of coffee cream (810 kcal)
1-2 ripe bananas (220 kcal)
3 tablespoons of natural peanut butter or almond butter (270 kcal)
4 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup (for sweetness) (210 kcal)
2 tablespoons of lard (optional) (250 kcal)
A pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Ice cubes (optional)
1760 calories in one drink… drink one a day over your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and yo could gain 1.6 kg (3.52 lbs) per week. Please note that this is a simplified calculation, and actual weight gain can vary due to various factors, including metabolism, activity level, and other individual factors. Additionally, gaining weight too rapidly has negative health implications.
Instructions:
Blend the Ingredients: In a blender, combine the coffee cream, ripe bananas, peanut or almond butter, honey or maple syrup. You can add 2 tablespoons of pure cooking lard to it for creaminess and additional calories.
Add Ice (Optional): If you prefer a colder and thicker shake, you can add a few ice cubes to the blender as well.
Blend Until Smooth: Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency. You might need to blend for a minute or two, depending on the power of your blender.
Adjust Consistency: If your shake is too thick, you can add a bit milk to reach your desired consistency.
Serve: Pour the gainer shake into a large glass or shaker bottle and enjoy!
