Undoubtedly some of you will already know about Nat and the problems she’s caused both within the GoT/ASoIaF fandoms and outside of it (may I remind you of Sherlock), but after she gave me this shiny new url I feel obligated to make this post to inform you guys about all the trouble she’s caused for both me and others; just for those who didn’t know.
Nat has reached a certain degree of infamy within the GoT fandom at large, but particularly within the smaller subsection of Petyr Baelish and Petyr/Sansa blogs, for her constant and regular refusal to woobify Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish. Petyr (referred to colloquially as “D*addy” and “Lord BAElish), as we know, has done nothing wrong in his entire life ever. Ever. No matter how much Nat claims to love our Pete, she seems to be under the impression he has flaws and has made mistakes which is?? Completely wrong??
Betrayal, murder, sex trafficking, and just all general forms of badness are excused when it’s lord bae committing them. No other character is allowed to do this. Example: when Arya murders Petyr she’s a bitch, you know.
So just like Sophie Turner, who we all hate for completely valid reasons, Nat had betrayed us. Nat has completely and utterly stabbed this fandom in the back. And not just for the above reason. Oh no, theres even more.
Nat is really nice and an amazing writer and such a positive force in the lives of so many people and it makes me, a humble tumblr user, really upset so I feel the need to slag her off at every given opportunity to make me and my friends feel better.

You know, it’s not just what D&D have done to Petyr. They’ve dumbed him down for so long and changed him the Lord Baelish I know and love that it’s almost easier to accept. Almost. So it’s not just about Petyr.
It’s that tonight’s storyline will butcher three different characters.
First and foremost, Arya is not a headsman. She’s no King’s Justice. For fuck’s sake, Ilyn Payne is on her list, for mindlessly killing her father on Joffrey’s orders.
She never be just an executioner.
Petyr Baelish was not on her list. He is not on her list Full stop. As many of my friends have pointed out in well-written and/or curse laden metas, while the audience knows about Petyr’s machinations, the characters do not. Arya wouldn’t just act as the Stark executioner no matter what revenge narrative D&D are trying to spin.
Secondly, there is no proof of Petyr’s so-called crimes. Aside from the word of Bran, and literally there is a scene where the Archmaesters laugh at the stories of a “crippled boy,” that supports the notion that the Northmen and the Vale shouldn’t just be a-ok with one of the major lords of Westeros being summarily executed without a trial. Not to mention that using Bran Ex Machina is a lazy storytelling device, there is literally zero evidence tying Petyr to anything as SANSA HERSELF LIED ON HIS BEHALF.
Those of you crowing about how happy you are because of what he did to Jeyne, please remember there is no Jeyne on the show– another one of D&D’s moronic devices– along with Petyr marrying Sansa to the Boltons. He. Would. Never.
Thirdly, Ned “The Man Who Passes the Sentence Must Swing the Sword” Stark is rolling over in his tomb tonight, as the woman who passes the sentence hands the dirty work over to someone else. What? That’s a Joffrey move. A Cersei move. A Petyr move. Sansa would never give the order for someone to die. She wouldn’t. That’s not her character. This is the girl who saved a fool of a knight she didn’t know out of sheer goodness. She’s not going to order someone to die and sit back while someone else carries it out.
I know there’s going to be a whole lost of people celebrating, but I really don’t understand why. Because tonight, D&D don’t just kill the most wonderfully, deliciously complex and gray character in the series, they also kill the Arya and Sansa that fans supposedly love, because these aren’t their characters. This act takes them further from their arcs than they’ve ever been.
And that’s a damn fucking tragedy that no one should be celebrating.
