“Half a decade”. Not that he was surprised or impressed at the time frame per se but based on what he experienced of her personality, Aramore almost seemed too small for her. But who was he to judge, he knew her now for how long? Ten minutes? “Did you get stuck here or was Aramore an intentional destination?” He laughed along with her before saying, “you might want to not do it alone next time. The water’s temperature can be unpredictable”. He just couldn’t help his inner dad. “I do intent to honor that invitation,” he assured and started walking into the appointed direction after he was sure she truly wasn’t cold in any apparent way.
At Charles’ words, a frown crept onto Cassie’s face. In all honesty, she wasn’t sure what had brought her to Aramore. She’d been looking for an adventure, something to get her out of the boring routine of primary school to high school to university. “I kind of... stumbled across it, I guess?” she replied, although it was more of a question than a definitive answer. Slowly she nodded in response, eyes casting back to the loch behind them. It had actually felt colder today than it ever had before (and Cassie had been in the loch a lot over the years). “Can lochs freeze over?” She asked with interest. She had a feeling they were heading that way. At his response she grinned and started towards the Drovers; she was quite excited to be somewhere warm.
