I've been a drake fan since ep5 came out and I've been through it

When we were shipping drake bc"hehe drew is soo jelly teehee!! OMG drew blushed when henry said drew wants Jake to be in his arms?? GAY!!! omg that one short animation rosyade of drew and Jake hugging and blushing?? GAY!!!!!" (Though everyone was OBSESSED with lander it was ..insufferable at times if you didn't care too much about them ... Then Drake started piquing everyone's interests)

Then drew became increasingly toxic but started getting more fans but the situation became more complicated and difficult ... And so yeah lots of drake shippers... But I remember feeling ASHAMED to call myself a drake shipper at times ?,, cuz I'd get called an ABUSE APOLOGIST for shipping drake.. especially in the time after ep9 released and the painstakingly long wait for episode 10. Since we had to sit with the content we got, a lot of theories and personal interpretations came into play. The theory that Jake was gonna try and kill himself became more relevant, at least on the part of the fandom I was in ??? And people were saying "Oh you ship drake? Even tho Drew is SOLELY RESONSIBLE FOR traumatizing Jake to the point of DEVELOPING SUICIDAL IDEATION?" and some people would NOT UNDERSTAND that some ppl shipped drake bc they found their dynamic compelling, they knew that drew and Jake cared about each other but there was a lot of attachment issues and general issues and clash of interests that came into play, which is why some people would find them more interesting, and "ship" them (which can mean literally anything from "I think this romantic relationship would be good and healthy for the characters involved and should be canon" to "they make each other and themselves suffer and it's so interesting to look into"). But idk I have REALLY BAD memory but iirc it was pretty split, you either hated drew and drake with a burning passion and he would be the literal devil undeserving of anything good ever, or you LOVED drew and drake and loved the show for only drew and drake and made drew into some uwu soft bean removed of flaws ??????????

Either way someone told me "I hope you never get into a romantic relationship" (because i.. shipped drake.. a fictional pairing.. ok) now at the time I thought i was romantic (I . Am still arospec questioning. Probably aroflux or smth but idk doesn't really matter) do I just said "thank you I hope I don't either 😁😁" but they were basically saying I'd be abusive in case I ended up in a relationship bc. I shipped drake. Whar.

So at points id say "I ship drake UwU" which became a wary "I don't ship drake I just think it's one-sided" which at one point became "I ship one-sided drake" which at one point became "yeah whatever I'm a drake shipper again ig" so it really came full circle. But it's different now when ep5 released I was like hehehhehe drake I dao cute drew is so gay!!! Which is still. Yeah sure. But now there's everything else about their dynamic I enjoy. The attachment issues the yearning for truth The truth that tore them apart the simple want to be wanted and need to be needed and loved. Tho I think I prefer one-sided drake. And I actually weirdly started liking platonic drake which changed virtually nothing it just removes the romance aspect of it .

Reading this made me feel seen because I also gone through a lot only because I ship drake ?? Like dude they're only 2 fictional characters that I ship together nothing more and the fact being jailey is literally more toxic (Jake bullied Hailey for 2 years hello why are we always forgetting this?? And not to mention of ep 9) it was just painful like I don't care if you ship drake jailey jaisy jia jean or a crazy rarepair ship like jaria (I'm a huge rarepair enjoyer myself) why can't we just stop attacking each other over a ship over a fictional thing if you don't like a ship then just scroll past instead of sending hate to that person making them feel unsafe it's really not that hard

the outline for chapter 7 is almost done, and it'll be smooth sailing from here! plus, chapter 7 is relatively long as well, might be up to 10k words... again- XD anyway, here's an unfinished edit from one of the scenes lol

i'm working on the actual chapter already too, and i still hope it's up to standard tehee, i've been having a hard time because the scenes are difficult to write, and college is getting in the way

i hope the chapter would still make sense oh goodness
