It makes perfect sense that Rocky’s celebration clothes are super jingle-y. Eridians use echolocation. All that jingling must make them “look” extra flashy.
I know the consensus is that Grace is never going to see another human being again if he stays on Erid, but honestly there’s a decent chance he might. Do you think that Earth is going to receive definitive proof of intelligent life on another planet and not try to go see it for themselves? They’ve got the ability to get to Erid, the only thing that might stop them from meeting up with Grace is time. If they can figure out a way to travel to Erid more quickly they could absolutely meet up with Grace.
something i liked in the phm movie that the book didn't show quite as much was how playful grace is, and how he draws in all the people around him and makes them playful, too. like how he got the government officials who were watching him during the first bit to interact with him and cheer him on, how he and carl had their shopping montage, even how he gets rocky to surf and play with him in the projector room. and sure, rocky is on the same sort of wavelength (asking for puppet shows etc) but it just goes to show how well they fit together. grace has a whimsy about him that i just love to fucking pieces!!!
It’s what makes him a good teacher, too.

In all honesty I would love some fic that pairs him with a woman closer to his own age. Everything doesn’t have to be age gap. Some of these fics could leave mention of age out all together and nothing would change. Just sayin.

I think if we’re gonna have the Doctor looking like Rose they should have a special where the Doctor just keeps randomly switching into various companions. The Doctor as Amy?? Martha? RORY??
And don’t tell me they couldn’t put something fun together with the actors, there’s enough of them who would love to pop on for a scene or two!

Putting CGI in Doctor Who is expensive but you know what isn't? Asking all your staff to bring in their recycling bins and buying lots of paint.

We don't mind. Our eyes bled when we saw a CGI judoon. We physically retched at some of the environments you placed Doctor Who in.
