Cabinet Battle - Sneak Peak (ch. 3)
So, I've been super busy with my masters and health issues, but I want to share a sneak peak for Cabinet Battle's next chapter. I'm planning to post it next week, so let's pray I stay healthy enough for it.
The chapter is called Big Truths, Little Lies and we'll finaly meet some of the characters that will work on the campaign. Anyway, you can read the fic here and VOTE ABBOT FOR AMERICA!
ARE THINGS CHANGING IN THE DEMOCRAT PARTY? Vice President Kanyaa Harold talks in a Young Dem event and meets big donor. Top political consultant Michael Robinavitch and former Gov. Evans were seen at a dinner with Senator Jack Abbot. Edgar Allan | April, 1st 2023 | Washington D.C Yesterday (31), VP Kanyaa Harold traveled to her home state, California, to make a last minute participation in the Fighting for America, a 3-days event organized by the California Young Democrats and sponsored by Yanto Harris, one of the main donors to the Party. The event was not in the agenda until a meeting with POTUS outside the official agenda. According to sources, the conversation lasted more than half an hour and the VP left directly to the Naval Observatory. In the event, Harold gave the last speech of the day where she talked about the importance of the youth to keep America in the path of Democracy and progress. We covered the context of the talk in this article, but, in general, the Vice President put herself as a forever ally and tool for the youth’s participation in the high levels. The audience was euphoric with the announcement of her attendance and soaked in every word she said, especially the moment where Harold said “We need to listen to those who keep America from wars, not those who know it.” Kanyaa met with Yanto Harris, oil magnate, after the event in a luxurious restaurant in San Francisco. The pair spent the night with their spouses and, according to witnesses, the veteran political consultant Jeffrey Kanes, responsible for Harold's Senate campaign in 2016 and an influential figure in the Cal-Dem circle. All this happens while rumours about the possibility of the POTUS not running for a re-election next year. Harold is perhaps the most likely successor for the Democrats’ nomination, but movements last weekend show she may have an opponent. Last Saturday, Senator Jack Abbot (D-MD) was seen in a dinner with the renowned political consultant Michael Robinavitch, who acted as Senior Strategist in the Senator's two successful campings for Senate (2016 and 2022), former Pennsylvania's Governor Dana Evans, and the well known Samira Mohan. Mohan served as Legislative Director for Rep. Baran Al-Hashimi (D-CA) and was one of the known leaders for the Congressional Workers Union last year, and is a former worker in Robinavitch's firm. During the week, Abbot was seen with Mohan on more than one occasion in the Hill and this Friday she announced for the office that she would be stepping out of the role she has served since 2021. During Al-Hashimi’s first campaign in 2018, Mohan acted as campaign manager, and was Legislative Assistant in the Representative’s first term, although sources indicate she was a key actor in all the matters. Jack Abbot is the senior Senator for Maryland, serving in Congress since 2017. He is a Captain in the Army, having graduated from the United States Military Academy and served in Afghanistan where he became disabled due to a mine explosion that killed three of his companions. Currently, he chairs the Armed Forces Committee and has been an active voice speaking about the need of rethinking America's military historical approaches. However, Abbot is known for being a divergent figure in the Democrat Party and for challenging the Caucus’ leader on matters of military and healthcare. If the signals point to a vacancy for the Democrat's ticket for next year, people are already moving and we can expect an interesting primary.
I wrote it while watching Brasil vs Haiti and a little bit tipsy because of caipirinha, I'll probably change something.
Sneak Peak: Cabinet Battle - Chapter 2
Here's a sneak peak from next chapter from Cabinet Battle. I'll update on Monday if things go well. The chapter is called "Mirror, Mirror"
The first time Samira met a real politician, she was nine, only a couple of days until her birth. It was the second day of school, and the Governor had come to her school to talk about safety in educational spaces after the attacks in New York. Samira was too young to understand the magnitude of the event, but she knew something had changed in the world, almost as everyone started to walk with apprehension that a bomb would detonate at any moment. However, she was smart enough to notice how badly her Arab and muslim friends started to be treated. She was nine, almost ten years old, only a few days away from becoming a big girl. And big girls always treat people with kindness, her father would say everyday. So, when the Governor asked her what she thought of the new protocols, she said they were okay (as okay security protocols can be to an almost ten year old), but they did not help with the way her friend Uzma was being treated by kids at school. The Governor smiled, a tight one that even a child could recognize as insincere, and said they were working on it. Samira smiled at Uzma, holding the girl’s hand. Maybe, for a flick of time, she really believed something would be done. When she arrived at home, she told her father about it. The footage was supposed to show up on the news, so they gathered on the couch after eating; Samira was excited to appear on television. She would be officially a big girl, her cousins in India and the children from the neighbourhood would be so jealous. When the piece finally appeared, Samira was vibrating, her mother was telling her to sit still and her father was playing with her ear. When the material ended, the girl blinked. Had she passed out for a couple of seconds? “Appa, are they going to show more after the break?” she asked in Tamil in a soft voice. “I don’t think so, beta. Maybe they didn’t have time to show it all, so they cut your part. I’m sure they cut a lot more,” her father answered, his arms embracing her. “But don’t worry, they will take what you said in consideration.” No one did something to protect Uzma, no one heard her. Maybe because Samira was not really a big girl, just a child. But you should not lie to children, you should teach them. That was why she decided she needed a private meeting with Jack Abbot before they officially started the work. She accepted his proposal in a state similar to dissociation and disbelief that a deputy manager position was being offered to her. She needed to make sure that decision could actually work, that Senator Abbot was not going to look inside a child’s eyes, smile and then lie.
The shirtless scene but make it shoujo.
Cabinet Battle - Mohabbot Political AU
If you wanna a Mohabbot political au, I give you this.
Everyone in D.C. knows the name Samira Mohan, and a huge group wants to steal her from Rep. Al-Hashimi. After years working in the House, Samira starts to feel that she's ready for a new challenge. Jack Abbot, Senator for Maryland, comes with exactly what the young woman needs: a prominent position in his campaign for the White House and the chance to work for a president.
During the exhaustive campaign, Samira and Jack gravitate toward each other as admiration and attraction blend to form an electric dynamic. But Samira had once promised herself she would never let feelings get in the way, and Jack had forgotten how to let himself feel truly.
A quote:
“I didn’t think you would show up,” a voice startled her. Senator Abbot was standing by her side, a hand in his pocket, his attention to the river. His voice was deep, but smooth at the same time. “Dana assured me you would, but I kept thinking ‘why would she?’. I am really grateful you came.” “Why me?” “You are brilliant, Samira.” He said her name in a way that he could take time in each syllable, with more care than she would have expected for someone that didn’t really know her. “Everyone in the Hill knows about Al-Hashimi’s fierce Legislative Director, the person responsible for electing her. If we can’t do it with you, there is no way we’ll be able to do it by ourselves.” Samira looked at him, and he was looking at her. His eyes dark without a proper light, full of certainty. “Go home, Samira. Take a shower, sleep. Have tomorrow off. The work will start on Monday, I need you to be sharp. We need you to be the best you can be. I need you to help us win.” Abbot smiled and left.
And the proof that Jack Abbot can keep it cool!
A sneak peak of my mohabbot political drama... I hope I can finish the 1st chapter this weekend. Also, I've spent TOO much time thinking about a title and I couldn't come up with something good.
“I've really hoped you'd go without asking too many questions. It's not that I don't trust you, but it's kind of an unusual situation.” Samira loved to try and solve these types of obstacles. “The president will announce on Monday that he'll not run for reelection.” Shit. (...) “But what does it have to do with Jake Abbot? The man hates anything party affairs related, I'm sure he doesn’t even have a phone and all his communications are through Shen and Parker.” Baran laughed. “Abbot is going to try to get the party's nomination. He asked Dana to ask me to let you go so you can work for him. Apparently, it was his condition: if you don't get in, he's out. His words were ‘We want to win, not only spend money chasing a goal’. Congrats, Samira, you've been promoted!” Why the hell would Senator Jack Abbot use her as a requirement to run for Office? Samira was close to one of his trusted advisors, sure, but she did not interact with him very often. They were used to seeing each other during a Democrat meeting, something that required the House and Senate to work together or on the rare events Abbot would attend. They talk, sometimes in brief words; other times, Jack would ask her about a topic and listen to Samira ramble about until she noticed she was being annoying. But never had he shown signs of interest in working with her. Also, Election Day would coincide with her mother’s birthday. Samira was a bad daughter sometimes, but she had made a promise to always be with her Amma on special dates.
Hope it gets you all excited!
So, I'm working on a Mohabbot political drama. I promise I'll post soon! Here's the first summary I wrote.
Fun fact: I've been doing A LOT of research on America politics and how does anything work in that country?
I am curious about your hot Buck take if you are still willing to share. :)
Sure, why not. I was already bitchy yesterday lol.
My hottest Buck hot take (other than i think it's okay for bisexuals to have casual sex) is this: (spoilers for 9 x 07)
People in this fandom expect him to be a walking fountain of sexual knowledge and kinks and like ... I find that silly. People are mad that he didn't know what the Kinsey Scale was and that he didn't know what a chastity belt was, and like ... why would he have?
I think that fandom has Buck as someone who is constantly up doing deep dives, when in fact, he has been portrayed as someone who does them when he has a specific reason to. Like, this is a man who had several queer friends. Would he have googled or reddited anything related to bisexuality specifically? Or dove directly into the things that specifically applied to him and Tommy? I think the latter is more likely.
I'm writing a Hucklerobby fanfic featuring a one night stand turned into love... If you want to read, here's the link!
The night they spent together should have been a one time thing, it should have been enough to Robby find peace of mind after weeks having to resist the feelings and thoughts haunting him, but then Dennis came back. They should never interact again, but Dennis is now a Psychiatric resident, and somehow he is almost always around. Now Robby has to spend time seeing the boy being a competent physician and making him remember how he tasted and sounded like. Omitting is not lying, at least Dennis likes to think that way. If he hid some facts to get in his attending’s bed, it was between him and God. But Dennis never counted with the factor that a one night stand would not take the feelings away. Now he is back in Pittsburgh and sees Robby all the time, being hot while commanding the ER in a way that is a threat to Dennis’s mental health. Or the one where Robby and Dennis fight the urge to get freak in every ER’s room while falling in love in the process.

Superman AU
Where Buck is a Daily Planet reporter and a Superman specialist (He hates the superhero!). Tommy is Superman and Buck's work colleague (also the hottest person on Earth!).
Buck was late to work, thanks to Superman. When he decided to buy a better apartment in Pasadena after his promotion one year prior, it was supposed to be a forty-minute drive to Daily Planet on a bad traffic day in Los Angeles (every day). But, because life in that city was never predictable, someone had decided to rob a bank and screw Buck's life. And of course, America's sweetheart would appear and make everything worse. It was not like Buck was ungrateful for everything the super guy had done for the city and the world. The problem was that every time something happened in Los Angeles because of Superman, it impacted Buck somehow. It was like he and the superhero were connected, and he hated it! Years in college, studying and working his ass off started to be defined in one word. He became a globally known journalist because it seemed like Superman liked to talk to him, but no one spared a couple minutes to read when he had something significant to talk about. So, yes, he hated Superman. And, yes, he was running to the bank because he needed to scream at someone. That day was supposed to be Superman-free, a meeting to greenlight his first documentary and more money in his pocket, But the beefy man could not let the bad men win for just one day! With his cellphone opened in the recorded app, he made his way through the wave of people running in his direction. Closer to his destination, he could hear screaming and shots. Please, let one of them shoot his head!, Buck thought. If just one bullet worked, he was free forever. But the son of a bitch would never let him have it. Out of breath, he arrived at the same time as the police. Buck ignored the officers and entered the building when people ran off it. The place was trashed and a lot of masked men and security personnel were on the floor. "You know, I had this perfect plan in my mind for today and you ruined it," Buck's voice was steady, but his anger was easy to notice if someone had a super hearing. "It was my day, I was going to receive approval for my documentary, you bastard!" "You know, Buckley, I have a lot of powers. Mind reading is not one of them." And there he was, Superman. The strongest, the fastest. Unfortunately, the second hottest person on Earth. Buck wanted him gone at the same level he needed to explore that god-like body. "You don't need to read my mind to know I'm cursing you!"
Let me know what you guys think!
