my favorite thing about navigating fanfiction is finding a really good one and being all “oh boy this was good, I hope they have more!” and literally every other story they’ve ever written was for like Miami Vice
the tag game on this post is so strong
#a lot of the time this happens because someone in their 40’s got into 1 new thing and threw a fic at it before resuming business as usual#like sorry gang they’re not a youth who’s weirdly into your mom’s shows they’re your mom who played genshin impact
Hello everyone. I'm absolutely terrified to open up about this, but I am having surgery on my thyroid to remove a goiter that has become very large / given me problems eating and breathing in general. My ocd is going crazy and catastrophizing;, I have been neglecting my health for five years until I experienced some symptoms that terrified me. My dr. Advised me that I will need two types of surgeons, one an ENT and one a thoracic surgeon. I am going to make a formal fundraiser very soon, but I was informed by my Dr. That the overall cost of this surgery (plus recovery) will be around 700,000 pesos- almost 13,000 usd. That is. My wages of three whole years. I am from the global south, in the philippines, and my wages are far smaller compared to my peers in the global north. My insurance is trying to cover around 40,000-80,000 pesos, I am unsure yet. Right now, I am unable to work all three of my jobs because I needed to do a ton of tests and resting, my new meds making me extremely drowsy as I was also diagnosed with type II diabetes and hypertension (?). I still am the only person in my family who can work- my mother is completely unable to move independently due to nerve damage from sepsis, she is legally blind and a full time wheelchair user. my father is very very immunocompromised due to heart disease and kidney failure, and my younger sister is autistic, with a low frustration threshold. Since Early April, I have had no income as I was in and out of the hospital; thanks to everyone's generous donations for my teeth that I am now allocating for this surgery instead, insurance, and my lovely friend Mango's large donation, I have been able to eat well, and cover about 12%-15% of my upcoming surgery's fund. Am trying to build up more breathing room for my gofundme, as it is common practice for philippine hospitals to prevent patients from leaving without having paid in full. I am humbly begging for everyone to please help me, Because I have not been working and will be unable to work for a couple of weeks. this is the most terrifying thing I have ever gone through, and I have been ignoring it for the past 5 years ♡ if you are blessed with disposable income and a generous heart, please send it my way! It means the whole world to me.

Hey guys!! I need to get a tetanus vaccine as a precaution. Had been walking along a flooded area and cut my feet on something. Lately, have not been getting as much work online- currently have three jobs, but are all unstable. I priced my comms as low as possible, but it's not a livable wage for me as with my comms only priced at 30 usd each (extremely difficult to get clients if I price higher
),I can usually only draw 10-15 a month.. I am the sole caretaker and the only working person in a family of 5- my mom is disabled due to being brain dead for a few hours after having sepsis from giving birth to my sister. She is a full time wheelchair user. My dad is chronically ill, and my sister who I have been a "parent" to is autistic with a low frustration threshold..! I'm doing the best I can..! If you guys could please pick up a print, or subscribe to my patreon (I have more than 300 exclusive drawings up there!) or buy the last two slots of commissions I have or even just send a tip.. it would mean the world to me. Ideally I'd love to have the vaccine by Friday..! Sorry and thank you again.

Hey guys, I genuinely do not want to reblog this again, but. My aunt, whose gofundme I was running here, passed away suddenly from acute organ failure. My entire family, especially my mom, is devastated. My mom is a full time wheelchair user, and we do not have a car. My aunt's wake starts tomorrow near her hometown- and it's three hours away from the area of Manila where we live. Would love to ask again for help regarding transportation as the trains, buses and other modes of commute are extremely hostile to disabled people in the philippines-. We are trying to rent our neighbor's taxi for transportation- as he has been kind enough to drive for free, we just need to pay for gas. I covered abuloy (philippine concept of donations towards folk who paased) and one night of the gas fare, just needing a bit more wiggle room.
We plan to go to three out of the five nights of her service. I'm very sorry for the upsetting post and having to peddle myself here, I'm trying to escape crisis after crisis. I also have 3 more slots of commissions if anyone is wanting to take them. Thank you again for the kindness and endless patience you guys have for me. I want nothing more than normalcy and return to beinh an art blog. Thank you so much again.
it's been one year of horrifying genocide, on top of over seven decades of occupation and violence. please donate to palestinian families to help them survive. if you don't know where to look, or are anxious about making a choice about who to help, head to gazafunds.com. please do what you can to help.
it’s like you’re being ratatouilled but the rat is your shame
i thinkit would be cool if there was an omegaverse but for salmon instead of wolves. Like when the time comes certain members of society get really juicy musclewise and get yiffy fangs and are suddenly compelled to return to the neighborhood they grew up in and 96 hours later show up barefoot in full starvation mode and ravaged by walking through interstate traffic to fuck whoevwr smells the best in the local burger king. Then afterwards they die and disintegrate to be eaten by seagulls in the parking lot

ranking gojo's outfits in the anime/manga!!! not counting official art and i might've missed some these are just what i remember off the top of my head
7: the collarbone shirt
the girls were going bonkers bananas over this look but im sorry it doesn't do anything for me. i don't care about his collarbones. i prefer a buttoned up gojo, the flashes of skin i like to see on him are not 'delicate' like shoulders/collarbone (seeing those on geto however is a different story, it suits him, that's more his style imo) but im going to expand on that later. such a shame too bc black is his color but this shirt is just Not it. and those fuckass glasses!!! ive always hated them good lord
6: wild side
okay soooo he's very cute in the ed i remember being very charmed by him when i first saw this but the clothes do nothing sorry. i think it's the colors. but i also think it's the collared half sleeve shirt that's just not working in his favor like either commit to a full sleeved collared shirt or no collar at all. also the shirt under the shirt doesn't work either. points for the blindfold though!!!!!!
5: baseball dad
again the way the girlies were going googoo gaga over this look.....no <3 this is Not hot. come on. this is the most office dad look i've ever seen. i do like the sleeves rolled up exposing the forearms that's always tasteful, and the one button left undone giving just a hint of neck. nice! and i like how this outfit is contained and put-together. i don't like the glasses though, i hate the shape. BLINDFOLD SUPERIORITY !!!!!!! for me what makes this kinda cute is more the context of the outfit, supervising the baseball game and bonding with his students <3 and also i like how it's his attempt to look more sophisticated and like a real adult that's cuteee
4: jjk0
CUTE!!!! a nice casual look. see, again i like how he's covered up lol it just suits him so much. i guess it just fits also bc he's so closed off from everyone around him and i like when his clothes reflect that but it's very stylish all the same. this is peak casual relaxed getting over his bf gojo and i love that for him. extra points for the blindfold once more !!!! black is his color 🖤✨
3. robes
ONE OF MY FAVES and we only get it for 30 seconds but the long loose flowy look is just superior on him and he's fully covered which i love. he fills it out so well too with his physique. any character wearing traditional clothing is always a plus for me!!!! really not much else to say here it's just so lovely
2: vs sukuna
HE LOOKS SO GOOD HERE. giggling and twirling my hair hiiiii gojo. this is a great look bc it's understated in its simplicity but highlights his physique very tastefully. like it's not even the outfit itself but more what it's conveying. he is strong!!!! there's a sense of power here, and i love how it's not overt either, we're not seeing like every single line of his abs, which would just give me the ick (sorry toji girlies), it's more like the charisma is on full display here. and i know it seems like thus far i prefer covered up gojo and yes that's true, but if he's going to show skin, it has to either be unintentional (hint of navel as his shirt hitches up, back of the neck exposed with the blindfold, etc), or purposefully on display like this. gojo’s not a skinny twink despite how mappa portrays him, and he's far from dainty in his mannerisms, so dainty displays of skin just don't work on him (the collarbone shirt). if you have a strong physique this is how you show it off!!! well done gege!!!!!!! i just really hope in the anime they don't give him ab lines like toji pleaseeeee that'll ruin it for me. he has such a nice build and this is coming from someone who really doesn't give a fuck about muscles...(pssst here's my veryyy unpopular opinion but that nanami scene that was making the rounds well i just didn't care for it bc i don't care at all for that insanely built look in fact it turns me off 😭)
1. the uniform™
the undisputed champion. number one in my heart always and forever. this is how we're introduced to gojo and im not ashamed to say it was over for me at first sight. how can you not want to know more about him??? it's such a neutral look, so simple and doesn't define or enhance anything but at the same time it's so sleek and sophisticated, all black and all straight sharp lines making up his silhouette. huge fan of how his neck is covered too like every part of him is hidden and inaccessible which is exactly who he is as a person <3 it's so unassuming that it becomes invisible in a way and elevates his charisma if that makes sense. while i really love the vs sukuna outfit, that one conveys a 'going all out' energy which is great but this one just imbues that easy breezy cocky confidence ('my students are watching so i'm going to show off a little' he says in this bedroom voice while his lips basically brush sukuna’s ear WHEW I'LL STOP) that enamored me to him instantly. not to mention the shibuya insanity <3 this really is the superior look!!! sometimes less is more and for someone with such explosive power and a larger than life personality, for this all to be contained in this totally nondescript uniform just clicks in my brain in the best way. the juxtaposition really makes this one. in conclusion he looks THE BEST when he's covered up and understated ‼️
SUPPORT PALESTINIAN BUSINESSES
while it’s important for us to protest, raise awareness, boycott, and pressure our governments… it is also important that we appreciate palestinian people and palestinian culture. they are more than just victims. they are artists, entrepreneurs, fashion designers, movie makers, writers, musicians, scholars—they are people. so let’s celebrate all that makes palestinians who they are by supporting their businesses and showing our appreciation and solidarity.

I ordered some Nablus soap from Palestinian Soap Cooperative and it's my favorite soap I've ever used. (They have some other Palestinian items like hand towels and kefiyeh. They do have a few other non-Palestinian items like French bath accessories but it's mostly Palestinian things.)
While we continue to donate to personal evacuation funds, I think it is crucial to keep in mind that these individuals as well as millions more in Gaza are currently actively in need of basic necessities like food, water, shelter, and medical care. Keeping this in mind, and recognising that there is no way to know when the border crossing with Egypt will reopen, I think our attention should also be on raising funds for organisations currently on the ground who will have the widest impact on the lives of Palestinians who are still enduring the genocide in Gaza.
Below are some verified donation links of organisations that are currently providing assistance for the people in Gaza directly:
Food, water, and shelter
Taawon has launched a campaign to provide support in Gaza through food parcels, shopping vouchers, fresh produce, water bottles and shelter tents.
Watermelon Relief is a project initiated and implemented by a group of activists in Gaza, who work to provide aid to displaced families in Gaza through meals, support and activities.
World Food Programme (WFP) managed to provide assistance to more than 1 million people in Gaza in May by delivering food in shelters, makeshift camps and shops.
Life for Gaza is an initiative through which the Municipality of Gaza aims to provide basic necessities for the people of Gaza such as water projects, waste collection and the reconstruction of roads.
Arab Group for the Protection of Nature (APN) is working to plant farmlands in Gaza through their "Revive Gaza Farmlands" project, through which they had already started planting vegetables, fruits and leafy greens in Gaza.
Purchasing eSIMs is one of the only remaining ways to keep Gazans connected with the outside world, to get their stories out or even enable them to call for help after Israeli strikes.
The Sameer Project is a donation based aid initiative that provides tents, cash aid, diapers and formula for displaced families in Gaza.
Care For Gaza is an organisation that works to provide essential aid such as food packages and cash to deliver to displaced families in Gaza.
Palestine Children's Relief Fund, through their "Gaza Relief and Recovery" campaign, plan to provide essential medical supplies and treatments, as well as food and clean water.
The UNRWA has an Emergency Appeal for Gaza, where donations will provide families in Gaza with lifesaving food and water, winter kits and to repair UNRWA shelters.
Mutual Aid for the People of Gaza is a fundraiser managed by Mona in Gaza, who personally purchases and distributes basic supplies including food parcels to families in Gaza.
Help Gaza Children is another grassroots effort operating on the ground in Gaza to support families with food, water and clothing.
Medical care
Palestinian Red Crescent has been on the ground in Palestine since 1968 as part of the Red Cross & Crescent movement. They have had a continuous presence on the ground in Gaza as the main source of medical care and assistance.
Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP) provides medical supplies and supports healthcare services in Gaza.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) provide medical and humanitarian aid in Palestine and have had their teams on the ground operating from MSF-supported health facilities across Gaza.
Gaza Wound Care is a medical team in a tent in Nuseirat, providing care to children and supporting pregnant women.
Children Not Numbers is an NGO dedicated to providing medical care for the children in Gaza including delivery of medical aid and medical evacuation for children.
