What a lot ppl don't understand about mobile games is that they are specifically designed to entice gambling habits, especially at young audiences. Unfortunately, this model is the most profitable (although in my opinion very harmful), you are going to see a lot more franchises try to take advantage of this market. I think the biggest disappointment for Diablo fans is watching Blizzard blatantly move toward this model as it signifies an end of a great era of the old gaming model. I know a lot of ppl are trying to stay optimistic about Diablo Immortals but the biggest red flag for me was that it would not be offered on any other platform than mobile thus signaling this game is going to be riddled with microtransactions encouraged by gambling mechanics.
