💙Mecha-Man/Robert Robertson Caregiver! + Little! Headcannons💙
-He's big on acts of service. He always makes snacks, puts out blankets, or just being there in general whenever his regressor is upset. He's not the best with words, but he makes up for it by always being there.
-Robert doesn't believe in harsh consequences, instead, he uses gentle correction. He doesn't think timeout or loosing a privilege is the best way to correct bad behavior, so, he always sits with his regressor and talks it through with them.
"So..why don't we try this instead, hm? So next time, that won't happen."
-He's very emotionally patient with his regressor. Not only does he do his best to help his regressor through their intense emotions, but he also patiently waits for them. If they need to cry, he lets them cry it out. If they want to scream, he'll let them scream. Tantrums, tears, or yelling doesn't scare him off. He's there no matter what.
-Because of his dry humor, he's not the best with baby regressors. His sarcastic nature can sometimes be upsetting if his regressor regresses into baby-space, but he tries his best anyway to make them smile.
"What? That wasn't funny? Right, right.. wrong audience."
-He's very, very good at remembering emotional triggers. If you tell him or if he sees it, he'll remember it. Robert will remember what noises makes his regressor scared, he'll remember what foods make them feel safe, he'll even remember what clothes make them feel the most comfy.
-Robert is very encouraging with choice making, it helps promote independence that way. Even if it's something small like letting his regressor choose if they want a shower or bath before bed, he always gives them a choice.
-Despite his sarcastic humor, he knows how to nudge it down a bit. His jokes have the same humor but much softer so his regressor can laugh too. He's not the best at it, but he always likes to help his regressor laugh just to brighten the mood for them.
-He's not a good cook, at all. So whenever his regressor is hungry, they always go out and about to find some places to eat together. Even Beef comes along, sometimes! It's always a fun activity for everyone to try some new foods.
•Little Robert Head-Cannons•
•Majority of the time, he regresses into babyspace. But his age range can go from 2-5! Since his regression usually occurs from emotional triggers, it usually results in him regressing younger.
•Robert has very expressive eyes! Because he regresses young, the most that'll come out of him are small coos, babbles, or hums. But you can definitely tell what he's feeling by his eyes. The Z-Team already knows what his happy, grumpy, and sad eyes look like.
•He doesn't have a designated caregiver.. but that's only because the Z-Team all do their best to take care of Robert when he is regressed. They don't leave their dispatcher hanging!
•He gets easily startled by most things, loud voices and bright lights specifically. It always results in him crying. He's not a loud cryer, he just makes little whimpers to show that he's upset/overwhelmed.
•He sometimes needs help recognizing his own needs. Because he regresses so young, he doesn't know whenever he's thirsty, hungry, or even tired. He just knows he needs something. So the only way he can really express it is through crying.
•Robert loves simple tasks to help ground him in the moment. One of his favorite things to do is playing with blocks to build large towers, or doing those puzzles that need you to put the right animal in the designated place.
•He has tiny reflexive smiles. He smiles without realizing it! If he's just in a happy mood, he'll smile off of instinct. Even when he's sleepy and feels safe enough, he'll make a little smile.
•If Robert ever regresses at SDN, the Z-Team has a whole game plan prepared for it.
