to say that sophie was most in her element tonight and wellâŠthroughout all of october in general would be a terrible understatement. the girl was always so excited for halloween and all that it had to offer, it was the best time of the year and now that she actually got to celebrate it with everyone else she wasnât going to waste a single second, all decked out in her october look of the day looking every bit the witch that she was as she softly sang along to the song playing through the speakers, bopping her head a bit as she looked through all her paints and brushes, not even noticing the person that came up to her booth for a moment, looking up with a bit of a surprise but an easy smile curving her lips all the same. âoh! hi! happy halloween! i didnât even see ya there, sorry. uh, you lookinâ for a glam halloween look? or a more spooky face paint vibe? i can do either.â she assures, gently brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, before a thought comes to mind and the girl perks up a little, gasping in a small fit of excitement. âor both! that could be so coolâŠâ the last bit is trailed off as she more says it to herself than the person in front of her before bringing herself back. ââŠitâs totally your call!â
Halloween was very different in France. Marie grew up with the holiday never being a huge deal. Sheâd never gone trick or treating and can only recall a few times that she actually dressed up for the occasion. Walt Grove seemed to thrive on the holiday though. It was almost as if they spent the whole year planning for it! Marie thought it to be strange at first, but after some thinking she grew excited to celebrate with the townsfolk. Marie hadnât dressed up for the fall festival, but she did paint her nails black with little ghost decals instead of a classic French manicure or a light colored polish like pink or nude. It was a small thing, a step out of her comfort zone, but cute nonetheless. She had been walking around the festival, trying some fall treats, and had even braved the haunted corn maze herself. (That was not something she would ever do alone again.) As much as the girl was coming to love Halloween she didnât quite understand the thrill of scaring oneself. There were so many booths to try but all the lines seemed so long. Then she spotted one with no line at all! Marie walked up and smiled at the girl who took a moment to realize she was there. âHello,â she greeted. âOh, um, Iâm not sure. I donât really understand all this Halloween stuff, if Iâm being honest.â Sure, she knew enough about the holiday but felt a little overwhelmed with how many different aspects to it there were! âWhy not both? I do love makeup, but Iâm afraid Iâve never done much Halloween makeup aside from the time I dressed up as a cat.â Marie giggled a little bit. âYou seem so eager and excited though! Go crazy and do what youâd like to my face.â
