Just ordered this set of acrylic paints. In trying to upgrade my artist life..... I've come to realize I'm tired of the same old folk art acrylics I've been using for years. These folk art brands often take five coats of paint to make a solid color on a sculpture. Its tedious and annoying and for some reason until now it didn't occur to me to just invest in a different brand lol. This had great reviews on amazon. Im excited to try! I wish I had more to post recently. I feel like Iāve been saying that times have been busy allot lately lol. I understand that in order to keep an audience... an artist must post new art constantly, otherwise people forget and get bored and flutter away. For those of you who have stuck around, I appreciate you ā¤ļø It seems like thereās always something going on that holds me back or prevents me from moving forward with my art career. This time itās the pandemic and full-time parenting. Which will continue when school starts since Iāve decided to do distance learning virtually with my kid who will be going into first grade in August. Still, I keep aspiring to want to do more art and have plans and many ideas in my head. One thing Iāve been working on in our new house is getting my studio interior design. Me being the interior designer LOL. Here are some pictures to show what Iāve been up to, Iād like to do a before and after video sometime. Iāve ordered a new desk to get rid of my heavy dark wooden one to letting up the room. I replaced some old brown storage drawers that were on a rickety stand from Walmart š and now I have a white cubby with some nice baskets to use a storage. I added a floor carpet as well. My plan moving forward is to paint the wall that my computer desk is against a light blue color and to stencil on a pattern. Over top of that I will be stringing fairy lights back-and-forth across that wall. Once painting is done I will be hanging up these shelves in the example photo, (there are three )and I also got these tiny little burlap pouches that hang on the wall, and can store my sculpting tools paint brushes and things like that at my workstation. My hope is once itās all done Iāll start to feel more inspired to want to work. Rather itās not so much about the inspiration as it is about the drive lol perhaps after a long day when I sit in my studio I feel creative enough to force myself to grab some clay š So anyway, that is an update.
