As our renovations are finishing up I thought we should talk about our facility here. At Little Minnows; our building is a 2-Story Classic Farmhouse with a fully finished basement set in Rural Sunset Valley with Grey Brick and light Grey siding. Iām one of the caseworkers there; my name is Macy Darling. Iām a 26 year old CPS worker and this is more than a job for me itās my life.
On the first floor we have the standard 2.5 piece bath, modernized kitchen, a dining room stuck in the middle of renovation and my favorites; we have a TV/ lounge room. Itās an area where the older kids like to hang out and play games. There is a lot of games, books and movies for them to watch. Right beside it we have the Study Room 1 computer and 4 study nooks. I know that might not sound like a lot but the teens have there own room to use the computer along with other devices like their phones and other tablets so the study computer is never tied up with facebook or other social media. Beside that room we have our Pre-K room. This little area is a playroom/education room for children ages Newborn-4 years old. We will also have a laundry facility for the children once the room has had the proper hookups.
On the second floor we have a Female wing and a Male wing. On the Right off the stairs we have the Teen boys room(but to be honest it is rare we get Teen males), beside it we have the male children room and a bathroom. On the girls side we have a large 6 bed room for our Teen girls connected to a private bathroom and private study room. The computers have sites that are blocked and the wi-fi password during free time is only available once they have done their chores. We have a Unisex baby room on the female wing right across from our little office for staff. Beside that is the bathroom and the toddler and child girls rooms that house 8 toddler beds and 4 child girls beds.
Our basement have a gym sized basketball court, a weight room and a gymnastics room. We also have a kidney shaped pool outside and a full playground.
