Because everything in New York is expensive. But if you’re looking for a place, I could use a roommate. Mine’s moving out next week and so far all potential roomies have been weird. It’s bigger than a shoebox and no where near a trillion dollars - if you’re interested.

I’m not sure, really. I’m sure there is a reason for it and possibly the economy. Plus, it’s the city to be. They can get away with it because enough people want to be there or even have to for work.
