A few morning snow flakes turn into a full-blown blizzard and before they know it, the safest place for them and their employees to spend the night is the bookstore.

Shop regular and object of Louis’ affections, Harry, is also snowed in with them— as is another man who Harry seems more than friendly with.

Will it be a Christmas miracle if Louis survives the snow squalls, a seemingly unrequited crush, and a curmudgeonly tortoiseshell cat?

Kid Sushi

It may be called kid sushi, but it's an all age crowd favorite! Made with rice crispy treats, fruit roll-ups, and your favorite gummy/chewy candy...it's bound to satisfy your sweet tooth!

All you'll need! Although, typically, I make it on a cutting board, this looked nicer, but HUGE mistake since it was almost 70F and the fruit roll-up stuck to the plate. #fail

Open fruit rollup & rice crispy treat, although, to keep your hands clean, I usually smash and make a cylinder shape with the rice crispy in the packaging. It will POP open, so be prepared.

Cut a line down the middle of the cylinder shaped rice crispy treat.

Line with sour/gummy candy however you want to fill it. Try to use a candy longer to fill the space, and avoid pieces falling out once it's cut.

Roll that baby up nice and tight, using the fruit roll-up to seal it up and squeeze everything together.

Cut in 3/4 - 1 inch pieces and serve on a plate. Or I suppose, you could be an animal and eat it like a candy bar....your choice!

Southwest Lasagna

Make it with beef, turkey, chicken or beans! This can be adapted for any food allergies or preferences. Just something I throw together for meal prep and love every bit of it!

Ingredients:

1 lb of ground meat of your choice

1 pack of taco seasoning

1 can of Rotel (chopped tomatoes & chilies)

Large tortillas (quantity depends on the size of the pan)

1 cup of sour cream

2 cups of shredded cheese

PREHEAT oven to 375 F

In a skillet, brown the meat and drain. Add a dash of water with the taco seasoning packet and stir.

Add the drained Rotel/tomatoes, and layer about a 1/3 of the mixture on the bottom of a glass baking dish.

Layer one to two tortilla shells on top, depending on size of bakeware.

Add sour cream to mixture and stir.

Layer 1/3 of the meat/tomato/sour cream and top with shredded cheese.

Keep layering until you run out of mixture or tortillas. Don't fill too full!

Pop into oven for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.

Slice and serve!!! Great fresh out of the oven, or as leftovers. I typically heat them for 2:30 minutes on high.

This recipe is from the cookbook Dessert People by Claire Saffitz. You can see it is well loved! I have two handwritten notes on there. At the top is how to "make" Dutch process cocoa powder if you don't have any on hand. And the other is a note about the salt. If you are using a different brand of kosher salt, I suggest using 3/4 of a tsp. I use Morton, and it's too salty with a full tsp. Claire in her second cookbook does clarify about the salt as well. Another note is that if you double the recipe for a 13x9 pan, you're going to have to adjust the bake time! You're going to need a lot more time to bake it! I would suggest doubling the time and checking in on it as it bakes. Also, these brownies are very chewy and fudgy and not at all cakey. So keep that in mind for what kind of brownie you prefer!

Canon Soulmate Omega Verse that takes place July 14th-19th, 2024

Soulmates are real, but rare and are discovered when the two lace fingers. Omega Louis had spent his career (in One Direction and solo) acting as an alpha, signing a contract as soon as he presented as an omega to keep it a secret except from his immediate family and management. His bandmates did not know.

When he saw Harry for the first time in many years at the Euro finals, and Harry grabs Louis' hand, lacing their fingers abruptly to help him out of the way of a drunken fan. They immediately know.

Louis has a week before his next festival, and Harry is in Scotland for a wedding with his family. Not wanting to leave things unfinished (and stopping his suppressants for the first time in 13 years), Louis flies to Scotland, interrupts the family vacation, and they spend three days together talking, confessing, knotting, while Louis works through the side effects of coming off the pills.

She being the brilliant and wonderful absurd-smut fic enabler she is, then added on that because they're so competitive, they'd probably have secretly both practiced with dildos in the freezer and ice pops (I adore her) so I obviously immediately made a WIP doc about it.

I've almost written it for Wank Fest two years in a row now. Maybe third time'll be the charm in 2025!
