@littlestrangeandnorrellthings
one time in an english class we were making notes about shakespeare’s life and the teacher was like “his father was a glove maker” and the guy next to me started laughing really hard so i looked over at him
his pen had stopped working before he could write “maker” so it just said “shakespeare’s father was a glove” and that was the funniest thing in the world to this guy for some reason

JONATHAN STRANGE & MR NORRELL DREAMCAST - Ian Holm as Gilbert Norrell
“You think you have put all your heart into that writing and that everyone in England now understands you. What do they understand? Nothing. I understood you before you wrote a single word. What you wrote, you wrote for me. For me alone.”
Then he turned upon his heel and disappeared into the Darkness.
Susanna Clarke, from Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell (thanks, soooomanyowls)
Wow, this is amazing!

In 1819 the proudest man in all of England was, without a doubt, the Duke of Wellington. This was not particularly surprizing; when a man has twice defeated the armies of the wicked French Emperor, Napoleon Bonaparte, it is only natural that he should have a rather high opinion of himself.

I thought I should finally upload all of this! Finished and everything!
I did comic book covers for the awesome book “Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell” by Susanna Clarke for a school project. I wanted to bend type with graphic art. Unfortunately, there is currently no such thing as a Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell comic! Though it would be awesome wouldn’t it?
#I like #saw the bbc adaptation writer tweeting about the pineapple scene this morning #if you butcher the pineapple scene I WILL BURN THE BBC TO THE GROUD #if you butcher any of it I may take that course of action actually #just don't butcher it okay bbc #and don't even think about putting benedryl cumbersnatch within a mile of it
I totally feel you on the pineapple scene thing, man.
Mod notes
Since I haven't been doing much in the way of moderating lately, I took it upon myself to create a more easily accessible document with all our planned posts (that we weren't planning as posts when we made them) and neatly organized them so that you can easily see which ones have been made and which ones haven't. I also highlighted the only repeat we've ever posted, which makes me quite proud because with our terrible organization of two people who've never run a real blog going from different computers with different documents and using different templates and formats and programs to make these posts, I'm surprised we didn't have more.
Anyway. We've still got quite a bit of material we can work with but it's always better if we have more! We're always open to new ideas and, even better, submissions, so you can send us all your ideas here. We accept any kinds of submissions, whether you've drawn/painted something you want to promote, you just happen to be so kind as to save your mods a little bit of work and made your own graphic with your quote, awkward moment, or whatever you happen to be submitting, or you've come up with something so mind blowing and original that I haven't thought to mention something like it here.
I'll also go ahead and start trying to use a more consistent tagging system, so if you want to avoid posts like this I'll try to start tagging them as 'mod notes' and you can black list that. A lot of the time these posts are just to get my ideas down anyway, and maybe communicate them to the other mod since our contact tends to be sporadic at best.
Hoping you all have a lovely day.
-L.
