He thought for a moment, giving the small trinket a good look over. Why on Xandar did this kid want to give some guy a crappy wooden ordainment? His only conclusion was that some creep who collected stupid things like this for fun was bullying this kid into getting him this stuff for free. “hey kid, who’s gonna be mad at you?”

“Yondu.” Peter said stuffing the figure into his pocket. “Why do you care? It’s not like it affects you.” Peter pointed out stepping away from the other. You had to be smarter then anyone else or atleast trickier. Peter reached up touching his headphones feeling nervous. He hadn’t been caught by a Nova core and Yondu never told him what do when caught.

Peter gripped his backpack pulling off his headphones off. He panted looking around the woods, he had out run the Nova officer for now. Peter adjusted the straps on his backpack sighing. “Where am I?” He muttered rubbing his arm through the small red jacket he had been given.

Seeing the other begin to fall, Sam rushed to get in front to stop this happening. He quickly got in front of the younger human, placing his hands onto the others shoulders to steady him. “Woah there, don’t want you falling over.”

Peter took steps back glaring at the man. “Look it’s not, I need to bring something back.” He stated reaching in his pocket searching for the little figure he had taken. He pulled out a wood carving showing the other man, “I need to bring something back or he’s going to be mad at me.” Maybe if he looked pathetic enough this guy would let him go.

Sam groaned in annoyance at this, realising he had to chase after him. Quickly speeding off in the air, the young Nova chased after Peter.

"Get back here!“

Peter shot to the left down a small alley way trying to cut through. “Don’t you have something more important to do then harass some kid!” He snapped stumbling when his feet caught on themselves.

The young Nova gave the smaller kid an unsatisfied look, knowing exactly what this kid had just stolen.

"You just put it in your pocket, I saw you do it.“ He remarked, crossing his arms over his chest, seeming rather impatient. "I don’t want to play any games, kid. Just give me the trinket and I won’t tell any other Nova corps.”

Peter took steps back from the other. Peter took off down the street weaving between the crowd. He tried to remember where Yondu had said the ship was meeting him and the other ravangers. He looked over his shoulder making sure the Nova corp wasn’t pursuing. He really didn’t his care taker retrieving him from Nova again. Things like that always ended in a lecture about how lucky he was to have Yondu. How lucky he was he didn’t let the crew eat him for getting caught.
