What are cold processed soaps?
Cold processed soaps are a product of the mixing of oils (fat) and sodium hydroxide. Once mixed, the wet soap will be poured into moulds and will go through a saponification process over a few days before hardening into solid soaps.
Cold process is one of the soap making methods where the soaps are allowed to cure over a period of 4-6 weeks to allow the soaps to fully saponify and allow the water to evaporate from the bars. The longer the bar cures the milder it is and the better the bubbles will be.
Why cold processed soaps?
