Brides ready to embrace a life of leasure and restriction
The long neck trend takes over the world (1/2)
The dedication and elegance of the executives at the Royal Collar Company first started a trend among their peers, and soon enough, CEO's and directors around the world all had their necks clad in ever higher collars
As often, their subordinates and admirers followed and turned a pretty confidential trend into a cultural statement and an absolute must have.
From the baker to the pilot, in construction sites and factories, each and every woman was having her neck set in permanent rings.
The long neck trend takes over the world (2/2)
Obviously, the medical community tried to resist but was soon defeated, mainly by its feminine half joining the mass.
Neck care quickly became a medical specialty, as patients never seemed to have enough rings and constantly wanted more added.
As a more restricted and elegant lifestyle became the norm, the corset soon came back in trend, bringing royal posture and sensuous helplessness to its wearer
My first day at work... I thought I knew what I signed up for, but having these rings actually fitted on my neck is something else entirely. I hope I'll get used to it, as my co-workers apparently have.
My boss is so impressive. She had her rings coiled so tight around her neck that she can barely turn her head. Let alone look down at us mere mortals. I hope I'll get to this level of commitment someday
Most people think wearing these collars is an ordeal and that we are slaves to our company's weird policies, but those who chose to work here know better.
Sometimes, you can catch one of us enjoying the feeling of the polished metal that restricts us as much as it empowers us.
The teal qipao is our central office uniform, but some of us find ways to stand out. Our department manager is quite a sight!
But it is true that this lifestyle comes at a cost, and when she thinks she's alone, you can occasionally catch a hint of sadness on the face of a struggling colleague.
Here, every promotion comes with two raises. The financial freedom you get is always balanced with the physical restriction coming with it.
At some point, it really becomes part of who we are, and many of us even spend their holidays visiting the place where it all came from. It is also the time we can ditch our uniform and add a bit of western culture to the mix
Since driving is not an option for women so heavily collared , executives of the Royal Collar Company can often be seen in train stations. Hiring drivers would of course be possible, but their appearances also serve as free advertising since they never go unnoticed.
When I came back to the office after my holiday in Burma, I had some explaining to do to my boss, but he was very supportive, and I think he actually loves it, as he can't take his eyes off me very long...
I'm relieved I didn't have to go for the full length collar just yet. Even this shorter one is incredibly restrictive...
"Seems we are getting closer to land now. But on the open sea, we had the feeling the boy in the crow's nest had his sights elsewhere all the time."
Gosh... these first two ladies are incredibly gorgeous! (Not that the other ones are unattractive...)
She's trouble... (or maybe in trouble, who knows?)
It may be a bit restrictive, but believe me, the additional attention from cultivated young gentlemen who value true feminine beauty is well worth the small sacrifice.
I fully agree. I like to think I am one of them...;)
