My name is Ash, I’ve been playing ultimate casually through my college team for four semesters and continue to learn about ultimate every day. Joined my first club team for the 2024 season >:)

Hiya, I am a University student based in York england studying child and adolescent development and wish to investigate the mental wellbeing and emotional regulation of young adults/ older adolescents who identify as transgender, gender non-conforming and/or non-binary. This study will aim to investigate whether individual differences in emotional regulation influences the relationship between gender dysphoria and mental wellbeing.
In psychology and mental health research the transgender community is not very represented. This study aims to widen the gap in research by providing more representation of transgender, gender non-conforming and non-binary experiences.
I would really appreciate your help advertising this study to your followers so I can get the best representation of the community possibly

Nothing quite like waking up in the middle of the night somehow still sad that you’ve never been to club nationals and never will and have never played even close to that level, despite the fact that a large majority of your college teammates have and when you graduated college everyone thought you would play at that level too and then despite your best efforts you’ve just never been anywhere close
Lost my water bottle at Fort Worth league, hopefully someone will be kind enough to return it but unlikely

Just joined my local spring league, so now I’m doing three nights a row for a total of 9 hours of ultimate per week. Cardio is gonna go up but my willingness to wake up on Thursday will 100% tank.
It’s gonna feel weird playing without my college teammates, but it’s necessary and a handful of us are carpooling anyways. There’s the off chance we end up on the same team as well, but it’ll be something if we do. I think the three of us carpooling have some strong chemistry so we really could dominate on the same team.
I’m excited to get to learn new plays, meet new people.
