Hey Zoe, how do u look so poised and put together? Are there any little things u do that make u feel and look elegant? Tip and tricks? Ive been feeling so good about myself lately and I finally want my outward appearance to reflect that! I know I’m beautiful but I think putting some effort in will make me look like the million bucks that I feel like! 💖
I suppose I learned how to be graceful from my mother! Sometimes I can be slightly clumsy but I try to keep it together, haha. I also like to look up to other women like Dita Von Teese, Audrey Hepburn, Oprah, and Princess Diana. All these women are kind (to themselves and to others), soft-spoken, intelligent, composed, understanding, grateful, genuine, and respectful. I learn from women like them every day. I even learn from everyday women from other cultures; for instance, Geisha, who are one of the most cultivated people you will come across.
I love dressing in monochromatic colours and channel women’s styles from movies/shows I like. I really adore the way the royals dress as well, great to gain inspiration from those who follow a particular code of fashion etiquette. I think my personal style has evolved a lot this year…I don’t wear revealing clothes anymore (I have nothing against women wearing that kind of clothing, it’s just something I don’t do now) meaning I don’t show off my chest as much and don’t wear mini dresses. All my dresses graze my knees now or just above it. If I show some chest I make sure that the neckline is cut in a way where it does not look cheap. I like exposing skin, but I don’t show it all at once. It’s just something I believe in when it comes to my personal style. All my clothes, in general, fit well on me and if not, I tailor them.
When it comes to my nails, I either wear nude or red. I don’t do bright colours because it’s just something I don’t like. I find nude nail polish to be quite elegant. I am not too fond of jewellery so if I ever wear any, it’ll be either a delicate bracelet or a subtle pair of earrings.
I watch my posture, watch my words, don’t involve myself in any kind of ill will, never gossip (I hate gossips - loose lips sink ships…), am pretty well-versed with dining etiquette, brush up on current affairs, know how to hold a conversation. I always try to expose myself to the arts by going to the opera, the ballet, watching plays, dining at restaurants of various cuisines, cooking various dishes from other cultures, learning a couple phrases from languages I like (this has actually helped a lot whenever I’ve met foreigners and managed to have a short yet flowing conversation), etc.
