In the early hours of the morning we held a peaceful vigil outside Colonial Farms (a chicken slaughterhouse) in Armstrong, BC, and Rocana Meats (a pig slaughterhouse) in Salmon Arm, BC.

We stood in the freezing cold to bear witness to the suffering and horrors that these animals are forced to endure so long as people choose to support these industries.

We ask that you take a moment to acknowledge the torture, pain, and suffering that went into your meat-based meal, and consider making a different choice. A choice that respects the life of another and minimizes suffering of sentient beings. Beings who feel pain just as we do, and who want to live just as we do.

Choose compassion. Choose soy or almond milk over dairy. Choose a plant-based burger at A&W instead of one that cost an animal it’s life. Every small step makes a difference. You really can help change the world and make it a more loving and considerate place, just by buying something different at the grocery store.
