Memory

When we were 6 Mom’s boyfriend Nick was helping move our Nana’s furniture. When he was moving it he took hold of the underside to lift it, he got stuck in the palm with a staple and it started to bleed. I went to him and looked at it. The thick staple punched into his palm. I held his fingers to keep his palm flat rightside up. I couldn’t stop looking at it. “She’s worried about you.”

No. I just wanted to see him bleed for once instead of me.
